the eurobasket was played on a very high high level, and anyone who knows the game saw that slovenia played an outstanding tournament and most watchable game by far. It had a superstar in dragic, doncic as the upcomming creator, shooters in prepelic, 3&d in randolph, muric, aleksic etc doing the little things /roles. You claiming its on eurocup level its verz ignorant and weak. The final 8 games was some of the best basketball played in europe! And doncic and dragic carried that team. So doncic should and will have a big role this season in real. You know why? Because the team neads a creator like him. They dont have anyone thats even close to him. Lets talk in decrmber what his role is! And you can ensable your greek all legend team and they would get ran out of the gym by this years slovenian team. And let me tell you something. This eurobasket was closer to the nba game then the slow euroleague game is. So you can take your euroleague home with you. The 2017 champ almost loosing to a eurocup team (ljubljana) a week ago.
Trust me doncic will carry the load this season. It just wont be 2weeks after the legendary eurobasket

so sit and enjoy the show mirotic2. Real doesnt need to baby sit doncic and give him time. He earned his time and bigger role in the european game :
If you consider EuroCup (level below EuroLeague) to be a "very high level", then you have a completely different definition of "very high level", than I do. In fact, in Europe, no one , absolutely no one considers EuroCup a very high level, and it's clearly a better level of basketball overall than that EuroBasket was.
The best FIBA Champions League teams would roll through teams like Russia, that was 4th in the tournament, and almost beat Spain for a medal. If EuroBasket is a "very high level", then EuroLeague must officially be declared to be a vastly superior league to the NBA. To call EuroBasket 2017 some of the best European basketball ever is an extreme insult to European basketball. It's a joke compared to even standard EuroLeague play. Sorry, but please spare me the hyperbole, it adds nothing to the quality of the discussion.
On another note, Milos Teodosic, who is much slower and less athletic than Doncic is....got whatever he wanted on offense in his first NBA time, albeit in preseason. Could get anywhere on the floor, and could get his shot off, or get shots for others almost at will it looked like. And he is much slower and less athletic than Doncic is.
So, there should be zero worry or discussion from now on about if Doncic is fast enough for the NBA. Because he's way faster than someone like Teodosic. It really truly is amazing how much the NBA rules, reffing, and court size, make every single player so much "faster" than in FIBA play. Teodosic can't even get a step on guys in EuroLeague, but was able to do so due NBA rules...
Doncic seemingly can't beat anyone off the dribble in EuroLeague (we will see if the new dribble rule changes that eventually), but will probably have no such issues with the NBA rules.
