Re: The Washington Redskins Thread
WOW I'm old, I remember watching the draft when the trade between the Chargers and Giants went down. I could have sworn Eli was like 33-34, but 36? Sheesh.
I do think we have a chance against the Chiefs. Washington's got the best rushing defense in the league and are up there in terms of passing defense so something's got to break tonight.
Kirk Cousins watch: specifically looking at teams who need QB help. As of this morning, I got NY Jets, Miami, Jacksonville, Arizona and San Francisco as all needing QBs. Keep in mind though, I expect all of these teams to pick in the top 10 or damn near close to it so while it's easy to fit the Cousins to San Fran agenda, if they get the top pick I find it hard to believe they'll give Cousins 60 mil guaranteed when they could get a Sam Darnold or someone of that ilk for much much less.

A little nervous that the atmosphere is going to flip from "We might be contenders!!!" to "Eh, same ol' Skins" tonight. Either way, I'm pumped for some Monday Night Foooootball! Putting on my Crowder jersey now. Hoping we see something special from Pryor tonight.

Chiefs are going to play a lot of man defense, so Skins almost have to take advantage of it - particularly with size advantages. I expect more passing attempts than last week.

President Donald Trump referred to African countries, Haiti and El Salvador as "shithole" nations during a meeting Thursday and asked why the U.S. can't have more immigrants from Norway.

Re: The Washington Redskins Thread
Redskin's inactive tonight:
No. 34 RB Mack Brown
No. 38 CB Joshua Holsey
No. 40 LB Josh Harvey-Clemons
No. 68 G Tyler Catalina
No. 72 DL Anthony Lanier II
No. 79 T Ty Nsekhe
No. 83 WR Brian Quick
4 TE on the roster... Wonder if we ever run a play from a 4 TE set ? Maybe show it then shift Paul to fullback and run it.
Can't wait for the game. HTTR

It's time to talk contract extension with Zach Brown. NOW!

Agreed. Dude is really good.
Not loving our O at this point. Not sure we have enough to hold off the Chiefs.

I was just saying the same thing...our LBs and secondary (when not hurt and Breeland not being a complete idiot) are pretty good. JR is a waste...couldn't get off the ball or shed a blocker. ZACK IS A FAST QUICK MONSTER....he gonna get paid here or somewhere else next year.

Re: The Washington Redskins Thread
Really hard fought game by the Good Guys - we beat ourselves in a ton of places like a team that's above average does, and the Chiefs wore us down like an undefeated team does. Defense continued to look impressive - lotta good things to look forward to this season from that unit. I hate how every game is sort of a vote on Cousins "should we sign, should we not", but I'm pretty set on only signing him to long term deal with a yearly salary worth at most what he's getting paid now. He was very good on our last drive, but the story remains the same: within the our preferred gameflow, when the entire playbook is open, he looks amazing. When **** hits the fan and maybe we haven't yet made the adjustments to their defense, or playing with a limited playbook, the offense sputters hard. He looked very shaky in the middle quarters.

Lot of nits to pick, but Gruden and TOs are a bad match. With about 50 seconds left and the Slurs facing third and three or so, he called a timeout with 25 seconds left on the play clock.
He needed to wind the clock there. If we get a first down, there still would have been time for multiple shots at the end zone.
Predictably, on the next play we took a shot (which Doctson didn't hang on to) then kicked a field goal leaving too much time for Smith to get the Chiefs in range.

Agreed. When Gruden called that TO, I was like, you better get this first down then. Even if we scored with Doctson, that still left a bunch of time we could've killed.

My reaction too. Maybe I've played too much Madden but Jae Gruden clearly hasn't played enough.

He panicked. He always panics.
I think he's a good offensive strategist, but play calling and thinking big picture as a HC is rough.

Yeah I feel like Ioannidis is about to get popped for PEDS. Remember when Murphy had a break out year last year and he got busted?
