I agree. I want George running the second unit, not Melo for the simple reason that George is the better ball handler and passer and he brings better perimeter defense. Also, more likely Melo is gone next year, not George, in my opinion.

Anywho, I wanted to take a page out of a thread on the T&T board.

What three players are most likely to get traded this year? I picked:

1. Grant
2. Singler
3. Ferguson

What say you?

Even though I don’t want it to happen, I wouldn’t be shocked to see Roberson moved. SG is the one position on the team with young talent (Abrines/Ferguson) that could make Roberson expendable.

Is there a market for Roberson though? Who would want him? I would think you would have to attach more value to get off his contract.

Teams like Denver and Sacramento (especially Denver) could really use Roberson

I don't see Robes or Singler, but Singler because nobody takes him. I feel like the trades are probably done but if anyone I guess Grant is most likely, probably Ferguson and Huestis next.

I just don't like seeing guys chucking up shots with hands in their face.
I don't care if yourve been an all star for 13 years. If your ego is making you play like that it's not what this team needs. I was concerned with Melos attitude when he got traded to this team and I feel this game kinda showed me why I show be

How did him missing shots say anything about his attitude?

He took good shots, they just didn't fall. Westbrook and George shot poorly as well.

He definitely didn't take 19 good shots.. if he did he wouldn't of shot 30%.
I just don't like the thunder offense when Melo is the focal point. He either does a pnp with someone for three or ISO balls it and jacks up a jumper just inside the 3pt line.
I'm pretty anti Melo so I am quick to say it may be his attitude but Don maybe right and it might be a habit thing. It just seems that if it wasn't working get something or some else going.

George still looks like he's finding his place out there but yes again bad shot selection at times. OKC should be playing more inside rather than shooting so many 3s and long mids from Melo n PG.

Its like OKC finally have some shooting and are just settling for that atm. I know, I know.. preseason

Will be interesting to follow Ferguson's career. I'll say one thing, for a rookie the kid isn't shy to take a shot.

Hey guys!

Today I'll be submitting the OKC breakdown to r/nba, for those of you that have been following.

I'm pretty much done, but I need some highlights, pref streamables.

If any of you have specific play highlights from last year you'd want to see, feel free to post them here, or dm me on reddit at /u/thekaoswithin !

Thanks :)

I said when he was drafted he'll be a stud and I'm sticking with that. In three years he'll be getting compared to Jimmy Butler. I don't expect a lot out of him as a rookie, but he should get enough playing time to show flashes. He could be the best wing on the bench for OKC right now, although I expect Abrines to be better this year. When the competition is Singler, Huestis and Grant it isn't hard to be better than those three with Huestis being the only one that hasn't shown they are a terrible NBA player.

I would like to see both Ferguson and Huestis get minutes. I don't know in what roles, but they have deserved a chance. If Huestis can take Grant's minutes, even better.

I see a lot of people on opposing team boards make comments of being intrigued with Grants athleticism. I think he’s definteily movebale.I also wouldn’t be surprised to see him be successful on a team with a coach that has a system in place.

I dont wanna derail the thread, if you're anti-Melo then this conversation will go nowhere.

Good. Hopefully we can fool their GMs as well.

Ideally I'd want a backup C for Grant. Slide Patterson to the 4 and then go with Felton-Abrines-Melo/George-Patterson-X.

I really don't buy that one as being anything. I had to think for like 5 minutes before I got the reference.

Really? You think? What specifically do you see? I'm open the idea of him becoming good but so far I'm not personally seeing much outside of a couple nice plays.

Maybe I've just got a hangover from looking at his Advanced stats from Australia (which were pretty horrific). In his defense it'd be hard to make that jump at 18 years old.

Russ being known for weird fashion choices makes it hard to know what to read into.

If anyone's bored I wrote a little about Russ's extension and the cap difficulties from it. Thanks Andre for the help, gave a shoutout in there too.

Man I must be slow. I didn't realize your name was actually "Dom." I thought people were just shortening your Real GM handle. Anyway, nice work on the article.

So we're pretty much screwed? LOL.

I can't even predict at this point, but I'm kind of hoping for George re-signing, Melo opting out and either signing for cheap here or going somewhere else.

Thats my hope too. Not sure I see Melo taking a big enough yearly cut to be worth it but you never know. And after this offseason I won't ever count out Presti.

If Melo opts in and George re-signs that might mean Adams is on his way out. It largely depends on what kind of season he has this year.

I would rather have Adams than Carmelo, especially long term. Carmelo will be 34 at contract time. George is the guy to really try to keep. Westbrook-George-Adams can be a great trio.
