I am a bit worried, not for this post season but for the next season, with the approach of Chris Taylor.

he is quick to swing and tends to guess wrong in a favorable pitch count. I wonder if this season was a statistical normalization after an unusually positive outcome in a relatively an isolated sample size.
ehhhhh f it.

Was cool to see Cody looking at other ABs of lefties in the dugout.

Even if he slumps with impatience, I have confidence that he'll recognize it soon enough and make adjustments, especially given his makeover after struggling for years before coming over to the Dodgers.

Well, Darvish basically hits Walker twice.

I think his run is over.

time for a reliever. Darvish is losing control and his fragile mentality is very affected now with that near disaster beanball.

Dammit.

Yu was going so well.

12 outs.
2 run lead.
A runner on.

I meant a normalization after atrocious Mariner years, with an usually positive outcome this season

Wonder if Dave manages the game to give Kenley the ball in the 9th or if he manages it to give Kenley a 6 out save.

I do believe Mr. Bellinger is fully engaged at this point.

Nice double play...

Darvish Leaves with Lead

Post#395 » by Ranma » Tue Oct 10, 2017 4:37 am

I'm going to agree with Roberts pulling Darvish in the 6th inning after hitting Christian Walker on the bill of his helmet right after just missing him on the knob of his bat.

Darvish has the best pitching performance of this series and I wouldn't want to risk him breaking down mentally after such a great display overall. He seemed a bit distraught with what happened with Walker.

Cingrani comes in and induces the double play and we have Morrow coming in to get the final out of the 6th inning. Those two along with Jansen are very likely our best relief pitchers.

Some combination of Morrow-Watson-Kenley for the last 10 outs?

WTF? Dave strikes again. giving Morrow 4 out hold and probably Jansen a 6 out save.

a better manager would give the ball to Maeda, Stripling, or even Watson for that 1 out with nobody on.
ehhhhh f it.

Big Belly

Post#399 » by Ranma » Tue Oct 10, 2017 4:40 am

Bellinger continues to come up big with his glove tonight and this series with the diving stop of a hard liner and toss to 1B for the final out of the 6th inning.
