Knicks to announce jersey sponsor tomorrow

I think the nba really made a mistake encouraging jersey sponsors. The most i've seen a sponsorship deal cost so far was around 20 mil per season, which seems way too low. Is it really worth it for teams to ruin the integrity of their jerseys with a sponsorship? I thought teams were making bank after the new tv deal

You can't identify some of these companies with a logo alone. You need wording. Not everyone is a Goodyear or General Electric.

The weird thing is that Silver has mentioned that he'll entertain the idea of shortening the season, which will cost the league a ton of money, but they're fine with a small revenue move like the jersey ads.

As with all teams, jerseys bought outside team stores will not have the corporate logos on them.

Calm down only team stores will sell with the sponsor on it. I personally think It's a nice touch and a collectible. I also noticed the prices went up to $249. They were $199. SOB might as well get a throwback.

I would have much rather preferred the NBA do what the NFL does and rather than license out sponsorship patches on game day jerseys, they do so for practice jerseys

Just the logo would've been fine...but people really care this much to complain? You can still get a jersey without the logo, the logo doesn't impact the team's play, we're gonna suck with our without.
