SD20
The healthcare industry is the most profitable business in USA @ 21%
In every other advanced democracy health care is nonprofit and 100% of the people are covered.
The USA is a corrupt country ranking 23rd in the world and likely much worse since Trump arrived on the scene.
I suggest you get out of the USA see the world how other societies work I know living over 1/2 my adult life outside of Canada has been a benefit.

alright: i've been discussing the "money supply" ad nauseum.

true economic strangulation is just getting underway in North Korea. In theory this will severely restrict the money supply at both the highest governmental level and will also be felt down to the wealthy and poorest citizens of North Korea. The end game here is revolt. To strangle the state and local economies so much that peace is disturbed bringing the eventual regime change from within. or enough "revolt" from within that when nato forces enter the country (first with our own propoganda) that we are "more welcomed" if not welcomed outright.

This proves will prove many things:

1. world peace is controlled by fluctuation in the money supply. Ie bankers control the world.
2. Human being will eventually act on no higher "order" than animals in the jungle when you starve them enough.

we shall see. for the record, I am opposed to this type economic pressure. I believe rogue nations have been permitted to exist by actual humanitarians of the world. even though much evil occurs, the end game of rogue nations is a counter balance to central bankers running every single corner of the globe.

but I'm guessing the bankers win this "war" too. regime change within 10 years. BIS central banks implemented. Rinse and repeat.

here's a fun game for you. Go look up where the last countries in the world to have BIS central banks implemented. then compare the instillations of BIS central banking systems after that conflict. Those 2 always go hand in hand. just Like the sith Lords. never one without the other.
like i said, its a full rebuild.

"nonprofit" is a myth. we talked about this for at least 4-5 pages in regards to tax shelters for the wealthy. no evidence was brought forth to demonstrate "non-profits" dont profit in some way shape or form. Usually remarkably. when money is involved someone is always spending and someone is always reaping profits. You must accept this for it is the way of the world no matter how good the press releases read.

SD, I suggested it before to you, and I'll do it again. Get on the Board of a couple of non-profits, and get some real-life experience of what non-profits do. Instead of teaching us - as fulfilling as that must be, you can learn something.

SD20 accused me (and another poster) of being part of the problem because we said this country has a long way to go in terms of race relations.

SD20 implied that we were at fault for even discussing it. At least that's how I interpreted his comments.

Well people like this are why I feel the way I do.

HOFer Mike Ditka.

(And yes, I'm pretty sure the majority of them are Trump supporters.)

Read on Twitter

President Donald Trump referred to African countries, Haiti and El Salvador as "shithole" nations during a meeting Thursday and asked why the U.S. can't have more immigrants from Norway.

SD20 is a potpourri of contradictions but basically he seems to have a mantra of self congratulation without a social consciousness and totally impractical views on the economy and social issues. Is that you Donald?????

Yes. Because I believe it is the right thing to do.

Single payer won't eliminate for profit insurance for those who desire and have the
wherewithal to afford more.

A single payer system covers everyone whether rich or poor for the majority of medical needs without deductible. Insurance can be purchased from private companies for drugs (under 65), dental, private hospital rooms, travel health insurance and a few other procedures.

I understand that. My understanding was that additional insurance was used to
expedite treatment or to see a preferred doctor that they might not otherwise
be able to see.

Usually you can get the specialist you want.
If you want expedited treatment I'm sure you could get it but not covered by any insurance that I know.
Some Canadians do go to the USA but at there cost for expedited treatments.

I'm skeptical that millions of federal, state and municipal employees would give up their outstanding and heavily subsidized health insurance in return for higher taxes and a lesser health product. I may be missing something though so please educate me.

What is hard to comprehend? They will get solid basic coverage on the vast majority of healthcare issues and yes they can negotiate with employers to get additional services not covered. Extremely strong unions such as the Autoworkers and Teachers have absolutely no problem.

They will get "solid basic service" vs. their current Cadillac service plus they will also incur a significant increase in taxes. That is hard to comprehend IMO. Why would they support that tradeoff?
