Hah. Agreed. That could literally be said of almost any player.
"Best case scenario, he's the best. Worst case scenario, he's the worst."

1)If Embiid can shoot half court shots like that so effortlessly, he should take the final shot of every quarter. I still have nightmares of Lou Williams dribbling out the last seconds of a quarter, make a move to get a long jump shot off, and the shot clanging every time. Ugh!
2) At the end of the video, love the Dream Shake Embiid does. We've seen the move when he was at Kansas, but I don't ever recall him using it in the NBA.

No way Embiid isn't getting what the rumors say next year if gets a serious injury. If he is healthy he gets max money. So where is the upside? The only upside according to reports is the Sixers have protected themselves against injury for what and how many years is the question.
If it's for the duration it's a good deal. If it's for one year it's pointless. If it's for two years it's probably not a good deal. If it's three of more years it's acceptable.
The upside is pretty self evident. We get a healthy Embiid for 5 years. The protections, whatever they are, limit the damage if the worst happens.
The upside is they eliminate the worst possible scenario, a healthy Embiid playing for another team, for JoJos entire career. Imagine the backlash from media, fans and sponsors if in 5 years Embiid even tests the open market. The Joel Embiid brand wouldn’t survive that.

Wait what? That can be said of like 5-10 players in the world at any given time--not too many people have a realistic chance of being the best player in the NBA, and Lowe has repeatedly said that Embiid could be unbelievably awesome if he's healthy.kanga wrote:Hah. It protects against catastrophic injuries to his feet and back. Not knees.
