Re: Who wants Dougie McBuckets!
If OKC could have gotten Harrel or Dekker for McDermott they should have done it in a heartbeat. Doug is a shooter, brings nothing else to the table and can't defend a chair. He's near bottom of the NBA in RPM, and somehow made Enes Kanter look like he's a decent defender comparatively.

He shot the ball really well in his sophomore season, but I think you'll see him continue to shoot in that 36-37% range like he has the last 2 seasons. As I said, above average shooter, but not elite. He's got a solid cutting game as well which rounds out his offensive arsenal (he's more 'scorer' than 'shooter'). He's very limited if he can't immediately take the looks he gets - if he's not open, he'll just immediately pass the ball back. He doesn't have a good feel for the game offensively, and he can't pass at all - he's not a good fit in a team offense where every player is required to make basic decision making.
Since you're tripling down on it, I guess I should state that I like basketball, I am a basketball fan like most here. I watch the game of basketball on TV and McDermott plays some of those games. And as such, I have seen a lot of games where McDermott was playing. Didn't think this was a necessary thing to state before speaking about a guy here, but if it helps the conversation, there it is. Not being a Bulls/Thunder fan and citing stats doesn't prevent one from actually watching a game where he's playing. And I'm not sure that you watching 150 games with him or whatever gives you as much insight as you think it does, compared to the 70 or whatever a guy like me might have seen.
That said, most of this forum's conversations are based on future projections and guesswork, specially with guys on rookie contracts like these, so while being informed helps a lot, most of it is a matter of opinion and very subjective. I'm perfectly cool with you heavily disagreeing with my opinion, but dismissing it outright like you just know better is very pretentious.
You're more than entitled to your opinion, but the tone your constantly directing towards me makes the 'pretentious' claim a bit ironic.
I was trying to provide some clarity as to Doug's value, and I think it's very dismissive to suggest that being a fan and watching 82 games a season of a guy does not give me grounds to analyze a guy more accurately than someone who has seen him on occasion. We all know that we can tune in to any game on any given night and see something that is not indicative of a players overall game.
I didn't deny your right to your opinion, I just suggested why I believed you were wrong. I'm sure you wouldn't expect me to be able to analyze someone like CP3 or Blake with the same nuance you can as a Clippers fan. Given a Bulls fan in myself and a OKC fan in Bondom have both expressed similar views on Doug's value, and the fact that he was a throw in in 2 trades within the last year, suggests that you have contrarian opinion. There's nothing wrong with that, I just don't know why you're taking such offense and talking down for me for expressing the popular opinion.
I think we can agree to disagree with this one.

Is Doug that far from (Bojan) Bogdanovic? Numbers and defence looks quite similar.
Can we swap him for Stanley Johnson or Hezonja? (Does it worth to swap btw, I did not watched either other than Knicks games, hezonja barely played against us last year, Johnson shot abysmal against our D.)

Jazz could offer Jerebko and a 2nd-rd pick. Might be nice to have another shooter.

What's your best offer?
As I proposed in a separate thread: Blazers can offer Ed Davis plus Knicks pick of any of Portland's future 2nd rounders (which includes posession of the better of Minny/Lakers 2018 pick, which is probably the better option rather than one of Portland's own 2nd rounders)
