Yea, I read that, and was like "WTF?"

“Kanter brings that toughness, that hard rolling to the basket,’’ Hornacek said. “That’s something that — if KP’s out there — that might be effective. If our guards can hit him on the roll and get to the basket, then they are going to have to do something, and they can’t really leave KP. So that hard rolling will be critical for us to do.’’

Except they CAN leave KP KNOWING GOOD AND WELL THAT HE IS NEVER GONNA PASS IT! TO ANYONE!

Theoretically...we need a tough guy next to KP who can score some but more importantly...defend and pass well...NOT a black hole of a turnstile.

If Kyle was not so inconsistent or Noah such a bad offensive player...they would be the better fit. If Billy could defend he would be perfect too. Kanter is not the right guy IMO. Everything stops once he gets the ball. Bench player on this team.

Kanter does require more defensive attention than any of those other guys though.

I'm not thrilled about it, but I'll just grab a drink, and enjoy the tank.

Starting to think we would have been better off just buying melo out. Too much roster clutter .

The end result may be a little better. The Knicks gained some small assets in an expiring contract, the TPE, and what looks to be an early 2nd. But yes - buyout would have been cleaner in the short run.

It would help if we had a decent SF who could start. The roster is devoid of any balance and any real SF. I'm not thrilled with anything I've seen this summer. A little perspective helps. We need talent to develop. We're not stacked with a rebuild based around Durant and Westbrook. There is a LOT of work to do. It will be VERY sloppy at times. Injuries aren't helping.

Like I said...if Noah didn't suck and Kyle had any consistency on offense...like a money mid range game or whatever...they would be a better fit. I even explained why. Kanter isn't opening up space for KP or anyone else when he has the ball. He is a black hole. If he could at least defend I get it. He can't. I don't see it. Just like an assist from Kanter. Can they get him to pass? I would love to see it. I did see one actually. Still. He didn't mean it.

It has to be Taylor. He came here with the repetition and didn't disappoint.

Let me help him out

C: Kanter
PF: Porzingis
SF: Hardaway JR
SG: Lee
PG: Ntilikina

A random guy in Brooklyn shouldn't be telling Horny what his starting five should be. Cut the BS.

don't even get me started on malik monk, who's shooting .339% from the floor.

bermanbury can suck it.

Their numbers suck but they are showing flashes of what they could be. That is all you can ask after you leave the top 3 in the draft.

I see flashes of elite D from Frank. But unfortunately so far in that 1 game that is all I am seeing that will be elite.
