They all got roasted on defense. Giving up 16 threes to only 7, not going to win many games like that.

Bickerstaff: who's up for kickball?!!
Ed Wood: Only if it's the no-pants variety.

Smith has value, but to me more so as a center than as power forward. He's just a bad fit defensively at that position and he'll continue to hurt the Wizards for as long as he's forced into that role
That said, I'm expecting Brooks to start Smith, but Porter and Smith will get an opportunity at PF which will hopefully help us stop the bleeding some.

No, Brooks will play Smith and Mahinmi. Gortat is the one he will play less IMO.

Could be - as the NBA goes more and more away from the traditional center. But Gortat's so effective at setting screens and working with Wall and rebounding - I think he's gonna play a lot.

It doesn't surprise me at all. Good players cost money. We are over the luxtax since resigning Porter. Guys like Mike Scott are the best we can hope for unless Ted is willing to pay double.

Did not get that feeling from him about body language. The anger thing is fine because I have nothing against toughness at the PF spot. We miss that when Kieff is out. If you have an open shot, shoot it. To me, Oubre is much more of a gunner than Scott because he's always looking to shoot, even when he's bringing the ball up the court. How both will manage to play together on the floor will be interesting. Then you'll have three gunners if you add Meeks and Frazier's job will be to get them the ball.

There is literally a 40 point swing between these two lineups. This isn’t some small thing, this is completely idiotic

One thing I don't want to see is fake toughness - ie Etan Thomas - though Etan does legit scare little old white ladies on trains. Sorry, I was over-due for an Etan insult.
Of the 3, I'd much rather watch Meeks gun. Dude can flat out shoot. Agreed - Oubre's game would be potentially much better if he'd look to pass on occasion.

Hey, ease up on Etan. The dude is one of the most conscious and progressive people in sports. I see Etan at a lot of Zards games with 6-7 youngsters that he appears to be mentoring. I wish there were more athletes like him.
Sorry, had to get in my shout out to Etan for the great things he's doing in the DC community and elsewhere.
