How much will everyone freak out if we lose? Just a reminder, I’m a complete idiot during game threads and am completely dictated by emotion.

Figured out easy way to count # of lineups used in a game. May look for Billy's record high later. But his # for opening day last season was 21. Over or under tonight?

it was delightful and i thought we covered a lot of ground. your statement re: spacing v. shooting was the basketball highlight of the episode and is pertinent insight.

Tell me when. Haven't been on in a few years.
Edit...I'm actually serious too. Not on DT anymore but would love to, it would be fun.

Yes that was very good.
"I don't know of any player that, when the shot goes up, he doesn't want it to go in," Donovan said

Glad Slick specifically brought up the Denver game, it was glaringly obvious the difference setting screens can make in that game. Despite some people's claims that 'literally anyone' can do it, it's a legitimate basketball skill that can have a large impact on an offense.
“If you're getting stops and you're making threes and the other team's not scoring, that's when you're going to see a huge point difference there,” coach Billy Donovan said.

Yep.
Huge reason Adams seems to be overlooked by the stat watchers. Anyone that watches the games properly can see the difference in space Adams makes compared to any other screener on OKC.
George Hill was asked about guarding westbrook last season and he ended up going on about Adams and how good he is and stopping you from getting to Russ.
Kanter wouldn't even allow himself to make contact with the opposing point guard before rolling when he was on with Russ. Was really frustrating to watch

Sometimes he would screen but what you're referring to is known as a slip/slipscreen. Can be advantageous in certain PnR/PnP instances. If you trust your ball handler to pass over or split the double team then it can be very effective for the roll man.

I've never been a Melo fan (as a ku fan kinda the opposite actually) but I am all about hoodie Melo. I want a shirsey-hoodie.
Also, I forgot nick and Melo played against each other that year.

What kind of reception did Kanter get?
Said in a thread about which point guards would make OKC better if they replaced Westbrook:

Ramon Sessions is a suck 3P shooter so of course his well-contested three to beat the shot clock falls.

Russ, just go dunk that. Don't work too hard to get the new guys involved when you've got an open dunk.
And why aren't we putting Kanter in the pick-n-roll every possession he's on the floor? Donovan knows good and well he's the worst pick-n-roll defender in the league.

Not this again
Opponents make tough shots sometimes. That is why they are in the NBA.
Return to Oklahoma City Thunder
