I shoved that first movie in everyone's face. I loved it and its sequel. Third one comes in 2019.

You're a gym guy, right?

Pull up the JW2 (haven't listened to all of 1 yet) album on spotify next time you're lifting or running. There are some tunes on there to get you moving. Start with " John Wick Mode - Le Castle Vania" 8-)

my wife got me the Fitbit Blaze for my birthday last year and I switched over to doing a lot of the workouts using it. There's one I love to do where it times you 30 seconds and you go from body weight squats to pushups to dips to lunges, and so forth. I've been doing a lot of that lately, plus walking, running, elliptical kind of cardio and I feel great. I'd suggest giving the body weight stuff a try for a few weeks and see how you feel.

I hurt my neck lifting two weeks ago, literally couldn't walk without looking like Frankenstein for a few days. Sucks to get older.

BTW, with regards to Jiren, pretty sure he's so damn powerful because he's already mastered Ultra Instinct, and knows how to combine that with power ups, all while it being his natural state at this point, rather than something that needs to be unlocked or transformed into. Meanwhile, Goku mainly seems to have unlocked base Ultra Instinct...and the potential with that is he'll learn how to combine it with SSB.

fan theory says due to Jiren's constant meditation he can relax his body without thought thus achieving this form of ultra instinct(body moves without thinking, acts on its own).

It works in my world.

Unlikely that Jiren knows Ultra Instinct. The way the gods reacted to Goku, in addition to Belmod being momentarily worried, leads me to believe that Jiren does not know Ultra Instinct and is instead just powerful. If he was using Ultra Instinct during his fight with Goku, some semblance of reference would have been made to it.

They foreshadowed Ultra Instinct when Whis was training Goku and Vegeta:

Ultra Instinct is the coolest thing I've seen in DragonBall because it's exactly what Bruce Lee used to talk about. It doesn't seem like Ultra Instinct is a "power up" like the Super Saiyan stuff, but Goku basically unlocking his true potential or mastering his "self", which is why his hair doesn't change color. kind of similar to Gohan not needing to become a Super Saiyan anymore.

There's something definitely to Jiren's insane power but I doubt its Ultra Instinct, the gods of destruction were scared **** that Goku was doing what they're able to do. Could be just raw brute power (i think he's a metaphor for Superman tbh), but I'm sure the meditation has a lot to do with it too. I would like to see his backstory, he's an interesting character although he doesn't say much.

btw for DB FighterZ if you get the "Ultimate Edition" you get the season pass which is 8 additional characters and there's 11 music tracks from the tv series included. not sure about the cost. :-?

they'd be crazy not to have Ultra Instinct Goku as the final DLC character + have that bad ass theme song they used in that episode.

but damn i also want them to add Jiren too. hopefully DB FighterZ has a long lifespan. there's so much that can be done

possibly true. the thing is, none of the gods of destruction reacted to Jiren the way that they did to Goku. that leads me to think that someone like Beerus could beat Jiren, but the possibility that Goku could beat them unnerved them.

also something i found out today (not sure if this was mentioned in the show), the manga/comic version of DB Super fleshes out the story a bit more than the anime does. Apparently Zeno's Angel assistant is the father of Whis and the other angels.

1) You don't read the manga? You have to get on that, guy. I actually rarely watch the show.
2) Whis and Vados were mentioned as brother and sister previously, and Whis mentioned the Grand Priest being his father in the anime, so ipso facto, Vados was known to be the daughter of the Grand Priest in the anime. However, the manga flat out said all of the angels are brothers and sisters, while the anime has yet to say it in such terms.
3) It's not a 1 to 1 story, so while yes, the manga does flesh out some things more than the anime, the anime does things differently as well, so you can't really point to one as evidence in the other unfortunately.

yeah i have skipped the manga. i see that although there are differences, the manga and anime still arrive to the same plot point (laid out by Akira Toriyama).

i figured that Whis and Vados were brother and sister, i just never caught onto the fact that the Grand Priest is their DAD. He looks so young compared to them.

You must have missed it, but the anime definitively pointed out that Whis and Vados were brother and sister and that the Grand Priest was their father. Whis referred to the Grand Priest as his father at the end of the episode in which he was introduced, I'm pretty sure. And apparently, the Grand Priest could whoop Whis in a fight, according to Whis, and that he's among the top 5 fighters in ALL of DB.

They never referenced all of the angels being brother and sister though.

Btw, I think Jiren would beat Beerus. Idk about the manga, but the anime has established that Beerus has to try at least a little bit against SSB Goku, and probably especially against SSB KKx20 Goku.

Jiren laid the smack down on him like it was nothing, and just looked bored the entire time. Not the most reliable way to look at things, but the implication has been that SSB Goku isn't quite at Beerus's level, but somewhat approaches him, while he was taken out back and just got brutalized by Jiren.

Not sure how strong Belmod is compared to the other Gods of Destruction, but he's still a God of Destruction and he admits that Jiren is stronger than him, so it's not implausible that Jiren is stronger than other Gods as well, including Beerus.
