Whatever dude. I'm so tired of negative ass Knicks fans like you. Don't compare him to Sessions or Jack again. He's showing he can clearly be a starting PG. Scoring isn't everything. Everyone's favorite player Lonzo is shooting like ****, but he's a starting PG.

i could give a crap about players not on my team. im just concerned with the ones on mine. and that wasnt being negative, that was just being honest. hes going to have to find his offense. im obviously hoping he finds it, hes a very fun player to watch, and seems like a really good kid. dont cry because hes not perfect yet.
There's something about an underdog that really inspires the unexceptional.

please fill me in about what happened with Berman. I don't get MSG. I had the crappy Nets feed.

Berman was cocking up a typical negative question that started with how they lost their first 3 games and Jeff immediately interrupted him and said "you're only as good as your last game Berman" and immediately moved on to the next question. Doesn't sound like much but the delivery was very well done.

One of Frank's better skills is his shot... He's just not the type of PG who breaks down defenses. So he'll probably never be a great scorer, but he'll hit 3s, play great defense, and have great court vision/passing. What more do you want?

Btw, Jack actually looked like a point guard. At one point thought I was watching 90's college basketball watching Jack Shocking.

Why does frank only have 5 assists on the Wally wall? I counted at least 7.

Berman was talking about how crappy the knicks are and about losses. but jeff cut him off and told him that a team is as good as its last game and the knicks won the last game

Summary:

Hopefully I can make this into a game-to-game thing.

Defense is gonna win you games. This game was fun to watch. 86 points given up on only 40% shooting, 34% 3 point shooting. 7 steals, 6 blocks, +4 in the TO department (15 TOs forced vs 11 committed). We started off sluggish on defense in the 1st, but the moment Frank came in, our mindset completely changed and sustained through the rest of the game. Excellent team defense. We scored 107 points at ease, which was pretty nice to see too. If we can keep up the defensive effort every game, we will be satisfied.

Now to my player-to-player analysis:

Jack: Actually didn't play that bad. 8 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists. Helped facilitate the offense when he was out there and kept the team composed out there. 25 minutes is a good baseline for him. Granted he faced the B-team PGs for the most part, but it was a decent effort. And much better than Sessions honestly.

C-Lee: Played an overall solid game and we can see the potential of him and Frank on the defensive front. Was the recipient of some good passes from Frank. Shot well from 3 (3-6), but poo from 2. As long as Frank's out there, he'll get opportunities for good shots. 13 points in 30 minutes of work.

Timmy: Work on that shot Timmy. Please, thank you. But you'll get easy shots from Frank soon. 4-11 shooting and 11 points. Might be better off on the bench.

KP: You can see the growth into Year 3. Giving small 4s a hard time on offense. You can't harass him anymore. I like efficient KP. Shooting 50% from the field is $$$, even if it means shooting less threes. Carried the team like many anticipated. 30 points once again on 13-24 shooting and 9 boards and 3 blocks. Note that he was 1-6 from three and shot some dumb shots, which ruined his % a bit. But it was still a huge game. And only 29 minutes.

Kanter: If Kanter doesn't start off the game playing defense, he should get benched like he did in the 1st. Looks like he learned his lesson in the 2nd half. An efficient 12 points 6-8 from the field, 6 boards, and 2 blocks. Play some defense Enes. I like you as a person, but defense first!

Bench:

Frankie Smokes: Yeesh. The defensive mentality changed when he got into the game. We stopped aimlessly switching because he could go under screens and not switch. His passing looked cerebral at times. The no-look to O'Quinn.... the alley-oop to Beas, the pick-and-pop to KP. The potential is definitely there. He'll get his jumpshot going soon enough. I'll take his night tonight. 20 minutes, 9 points, 5 assists. I think we may have our PG. He's gonna start soon enough.

McBuckets: Actually liked his game today. Got open on some nice cuts. Didn't look lost on defense. Was overall efficient on the floor. 12 points, 4-6 from the field, 2-3 from three, 5 boards. Impressive.

Kyle: Frustrating to watch at times, but he led the fort while Kanter was on the bench. Got 12 boards which was nice to see. I liked a few of his dishes that ended up in McBucket threes or layups. 4 points, 12 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal, 1 block. I'll take the 12-3-1-1 all day every day in 18 minutes.

Beasley: Didn't really get to see much of him too much, but he was the recipient of some nice passes from Frank and Kyle. Keep it up and play some D. 4 points, 2 boards.

Jeff: Best thing he did was immediately yank Kanter for not playing defense. Overall, the team played good defense and - for what it's worth - Frank was running plays while out there. Keep it up Jeff, but defense first!

Things to work on for Cleveland:

1) Hit some damn FTs
2) Work on your shot Timmy
3) Don't fall behind in the 1st

He got a taste of those chants in the 4th. Though if we're as bad a team as I think we are he prob won't even be an All-Star officially (he'll deserve it though!).

First I want to get the bad out the way.

Hardaway needs to be reeled in. I know shooters need to shoot. But he’s taking some bad shots.

Dotson was as desperate as hardaway.

KP cares too much about his hair.

Speaking of hair. Willy. For a dude that has such a hard part and so much jell, plus a pretty nice fade, I’m surprised he don’t shape up the back.

Jack was exactly what this team needs. A hard working vet that made good plays. And took his offensive opportunities when available. But his motive was running an offense.

The defense was terrific all things considered. The effort and energy was terrific until about 8 minutes. Jeff made the right call and went to the bench. Leaving us on a high note.

I really liked that lance was the main cheerleader. Played limited minutes. But was directing guys in those minutes. We’ll take that all day.

Lee was damn solid too. He needed to be with his **** talk. He brought it.

Koq is really the guy who first lifted the team with his energy and effort very early. He along with another dude I’m about to talk about really lifted this team in the first.

Frank was spectacular. His shooting was off but that’s to be expected. I’m old school. When you make defensive plays you deserve a shot. Defensively he showed why he was picked. He earned those shots on that alone. But he also ran the offense like a true play maker. Calm cool and collective. He was slick. I have my doubts about him but he blew my **** boots off. He had moments where he lifted the whole team. He deserves a ton of credit.

And so does Jeff. I have my doubts about him too but this was a really well coached and managed game. Jeff deserves a lot of credit here. He hit all the right switches.

What a great night. I don’t care if we lose the next 10. Just compete. This one will stick with me until the next one.

Be scared of Confident Frank. His jumper is actually one of his strengths and they are not dropping as much now which is understandable.

Hold is down in Cleveland hopefully catch them slipping.

Kp calling out his team saying they did a better job recognizing mismatches. Dayum alpha KP.
