Zingis, Frank, Willy.

Looks like Phil really got an unfair treatment here.

All 3 picks (one as a trade) will turn out to be some of the best signings for any GM within a 2 year span.

I wonder what a triangle would look like with them as well? Zingis deadly from that elbow, Willy great passer, Frank too.

Can you blame him for wanting to get rid of Melo?

Not in the slightest.

Yep. Last thing we need is to see these kids shackled. Open up the floor and let the kids rock

bottom line he needs to get that shot to sink to be an effective starting PG in this league. hell with that defense and vision, dare I say he can be special if that shot becomes consistent. either way im already mind blown with his early play. he just may deserve that stating job sooner rather than later. he was the catalyst to this win tonight. keep it up.

Frank is a young guy and young guys can make quite quick leaps in all areas of their game. And this was witnessed in the Euro championships:

6'5 French guard and potential lottery pick Frank Ntilikina turned in an impressive six-game performance at the 2016 FIBA U18 European Championships in December, leading France to a title despite battling an illness early on in the tournament. After scoring only 7.3 points per game through the first three contests, Ntilikina finished the tournament averaging 22.7 points, 6.7 assists, 3.2 steals, 1.7 blocks and 5.0 turnovers per 40 minutes on 42.4% from two-point range and 58.6% from three-point range. - Source: http://www.draftexpress.com/profile/Frank-Ntilikina-77051/ ©DraftExpress

guys... he's like 1 game into his nba career. he has a track record as a shooter. he'll settle in.

it's amazing that he looks like he belongs off the bat.
RIP magnumt

thanks for everything, thibs.

Yesterdays Game was so perfect for Frank future, cause it forced the Organization to take notice and take alot of the reigns off. There is no way in Hell Jeff is stupid enough to bury him, and he will be starting very soon.

bury him? they seem to be easing him into games that make sense and giving him progressive responsibility in an attempt to build his confidence. set the bar low and allow him to surpass his own expectations.

i'm fully confident he will be a starter by the end of the season (and that was always the plan).

Phil is a hero

He got us 3 excellent young pieces, put us in position to get a 4th, and ultimately led to Melo leaving, even if it came at the cost of his position as president of basketball operations. Best position the franchise has been since the Ewing days.

mad respekt for phil. He sacrificed himself for the Knicks. He is literally Knicks Jesus...wow

Eloquent and inspiring words, and I'm sure Phil feels the same.

If Phil wasn’t shopping KP before the draft I’d hold him in higher esteem but definitely died to trade Melo.

Yesterday, if you pay attention, was not really an ease in. He was thrown to the fire and allowed to play once he instantly impacted the game. He was allowed to command and lead. I expect REGULAR rotation minutes from this point, which is something he might not have gotten if he struggled early. Also End of the season? dude will prob be the starting by Christmas.

Few more thoughts on other guys:

- Timmy needs to attack the basket more. Hes very athletic, and a good finisher, but all hes mainly doing is jacking rushed threes. He attacked a few times later on with good results. This kid just has to impact the game when his J is off more. Hes looking like the old Timmy, and I cant say Im surprised. Get it together.

- Dougie is looking like a very nice pickup. Maybe not a starter, but def a rotation player. If he keeps defending a lick, hitting open shots, and moving well off ball then he has a place on this team. More athletic than you expect too.

- OQuinn is a really solid player and person. I dont want to lose him, but sadly he just makes the most sense to move.

- Keep Jack over Sessions. He’a more of a vocal leader too.

- Lance is a good dude.

I was thinking more like by Halloween

He's ready! The only issue with him was his health and getting him enough practice time coming off the injuries. There's no point in waiting until Christmas. Give him another game to really settle in, which is Sunday, then after that it's time to move him into the starting lineup. Even with Jack playing as well as he did last night, it was clear who the best PG on the team is and it's not even close.

Yes, this is exactly what they are doing and it is the right move. I wonder about those that think otherwise, how can they not see what is so obvious?

ease in = westbrook didn't get the opportunity to clown him and he played against the nets. this was one good game and he will have bad games. i'm willing to bet jeff will play that as it comes for the foreseeable future.

in any event, there is no way there was a plan to bury him.

I'm not really worried about THJ tbh. If you look at his #'s in the first 15 games of last year they were awful as well.

What's more, we're on a path to having a fun and modern team to watch. We might finally not be behind the curve. If they can get another draft pick by trading vets we could have a fresh starting lineup next year.

PG: 3pt shooter
SG: Ntilikina
SF: Doncic
PF: P&R guy / rebounder
C: Porzingis

That’s the dream. Although it is a bit surprising you still want Frank at SG.

It's what he is. He's more Andre Igoudala than Andre Miller. He's a very methodical person, he thinks everything through. He knows they presented him as a PG of the future so that's the role he's playing right now. That's why he's hesitant to look for his own shot.

Something I said last year in the draft threads is coming to fruition with Frank.

1. On his European club he was the 2 guard because of his youth/height. Because of this, he didn't have the opportunity to create for others like he can. On his FIBA team he ran Point, and his ability as a playmaker was apparent. Here, the same trend continues. He's a natural PG.

2. The French play basketball different then what AAU practices. If you develop your game in France, there's a higher chance that you learn how to create for others then in AAU. Look at the players that hail from France.. Diaw, Batum, Parker, all beautiful passers. It's their cultures identity in the sport.

Frank is kinda like a Jrue Holiday on steroids... aka elite defense instead of just good.. 6'6 instead of 6'4.... and prettier playmaking skills. That is a borderline all-star if you ask me.

I’d like to see jack get another start. He played pretty well. We’re going to have to dump someone real soon when Noah comes back. I think it’s jack vs sessions. If jack can give us this type of play I’d like to keep him on.
