I don't know how Burkes contract works. Is he ours to do what we want with for the season? I hope so!

hell of a farm team we have right now. i like it. hopefully g-league players can all start to get paid more so teams can benefit from actually retaining this pool of talent.

it could also make the product more exciting and maybe televise more of it.

very true. inside the NBA vs. outside the NBA is a precipice.

crazy to think that at any given moment there are really only 600 people on the face of the earth worthy of consideration for the NBA. 500 of them are in the league. maybe 100 worldwide on the outside looking in. and then... everything else.

Baker missed the last second shot. Dub Knicks are 3-2 now after blowing another lead.

Dotson's game REALLY reminds me Tim Thomas. Most won't admit it, but when he wanted to, and before he got hurt, Thomas would play good Defense too. Very versatile SF.

Dotson looks like he brings a lot more energy to the floor when he comes in, tho. At times, Tim could be very nonchalant on the court.

Tim Thomas was a classic case of can't miss talent + questionable mindset.

Dotson already displays a superior mindset at least.

I was living in Philadelphia when the Sixers traded for Tim after he was drafted by the Nets in '97 when Tim chose (poorly imo) to leave Villanova after his freshman season. He only lasted one year in Philly before being traded to the Buck in the Keith Van Horn deal. Of course, we all remember Tim when he was with the Knicks. Didn't Kenyon Martin give Tim the "fugazy" moniker?

In any event, at his best, Tim was a 15 ppg scorer when he should've been a 20 ppg scorer. His career average was only 11.5 ppg. He seemed to have a passive personality. He should've dominated.

June 25, 1997: Drafted by the New Jersey Nets in the 1st round (7th pick) of the 1997 NBA Draft.

June 27, 1997: Traded by the New Jersey Nets with Jim Jackson, Eric Montross and Anthony Parker to the Philadelphia 76ers for Michael Cage, Lucious Harris, Don MacLean and Keith Van Horn.

March 11, 1999: Traded by the Philadelphia 76ers with Scott Williams to the Milwaukee Bucks for Tyrone Hill and Jerald Honeycutt.

Tim's talent and physical attributes are what is needed to be an elite and dominant player for sure.

But he didn't love hoops. Some guys love the competition and they love the sport. Tim clearly did not. He had no fire.

I'd rather have a Dotson 10 out of 10 times even if he may not be as talented.

Though I do think Dot is fairly talented and he has a fully developed NBA ready body. I still peg him as our potential Draymond Green player.

Dotson is the one untapped player lurking on this roster right now who could really impact games and add to our win total. I think this guy is going to be a real difference maker for the Knicks.

The two guys to develop are definitely Dot and Doug.

That is a very good point, why is he not getting time in the G League keeping sharp and improving his game?

I watched the game yesterday and Hicks has it all except an outside shot. I assume that he doesn't have one because he's only taken a handful this year. But the rest of his game is impressive on both ends. I like him much, much better than our other 2 way player, Kanter, who is weak and slow.

Yes Willy could benefit from some play down here. Why wouldn't we send him?
Burke has looked really good (better than Jack imho) and I'm hoping that he gets a callup soon.
XRM is leaving to play with the FIBA Canadian team but he sure has a "live" body (close to 15 rebounds yesterday).
Nigel Hayes has physical tools but there's something about his game that doesn't excite me.

I could see Hicks and Burke playing for the real Knicks and doing fairly well.
