Yeah, AG has improved and surpassed my expectations. I did not expect him to be so comfortable with his 3Pt shot so early in the season. That move right there was nowhere near in his repertoire one year ago. The kid is just 22 and getting better at an accelerated rate. Max the man!

Was that play drawn up for AG? Cos that’s huuuuuge if so! Says a lot about how good the coaches feel about his shooting.

If it was a broken play, still great work by him to read it, run for the open look and then nail a star looking 3 at the buzzer.

I'm pretty sure I remember hearing that being drawn up. There was only 2.6 sec left on the game clock in the 3rd.

Yea it was a clear play call by Vogel. Good execution and kudos to AG for completing reinventing his shot over the summer. Im sure it took alot of work and discipline.

Nobody else is even making a play to get open so had to have been drawn up for him.

I have to say that I have never seen such a drastic improvement in shooting from one season to the next. This stuff is not normal, its highly unusual for a player that has been in the league as long AG has been to make such a giant leap in outside shooting. I have no doubt that he worked very hard over the summer to accomplish this but it feels like overnight he went from one of the worst shooters in the league to one of the best. He proved me wrong, I did not think he had it in him.

Yeah, kind of tempted to quote the guy on the first page. Although not many of us thought he'd be playing like this so can't really fault the guy.

This.
I just didn't belive it is possible to make this type of leap. I'm watching nba for years i can't name one player who had this major all around upgrade in his game over one summer. But i'm happy for him, great time to break out , just before contract.

Then the many of the posters need a reality check, because not a single person predicted AG to up his shooting to 57.5% on 4.4 attempts a game. Even thought it's unsustainable and even if he drops to 40% that will be a gigantic leap which no one predicted.

I think the next thing he needs to work on his game is getting to the line, premier players usually average more than 3 FTA.

Also in the 5 preseason games he shot 43%, so fingers crossed... it might be a real thing.

Maybe not 57%, but there were people on here that thought he could improve his shot significantly. Read some of the posts of the posters that quoted that post I made in this thread too. AG took a ton of slander in this thread, Its just satisfying for the minority of posters that did think he could make this type of leap to see it happen.

Majority of the board believed he would improve his shot, there wasn't any reason to believe he wouldn't. But for anyone to act like they expected his shot to be this great this soon is lying.

His shot is money, and it isn't far-fetched to say he'll end up at 40% or so, which is a massive 12% increase from last year; going from bad to elite in 1 off-season is very rare, and very awesome to see one of our players living up to expectations, and he's still 22 with alot more potential. :o

He's not going to shoot 57% and I'm not saying that I claimed that, but seriously start from the beginning of this thread and read until the end. The majority of the people didn't even think he had a chance to become close to an average shooter. They had already written a 21-year-old off.

Yeah, he definitely won't shoot 57% for the year, like I said earlier 40% would be great, and isn't to far-fetched. I shouldn't have said majority of the board, because I have no idea; I just assumed. You're right though, for whatever reason people are very fast to give up on people, and especially when it's something like basketball you can't really do that as there's so much to learn, and it takes a long time to create, and refine skills.
