A result of the MIL trade for Bledsoe:

...[Milwaukee] now has about $106MM on its books for 2018/19, without taking into account a qualifying offer or a new contract for Jabari Parker, who will be a restricted free agent. If the Bucks hope to re-sign Parker, they may need to move another contract to avoid becoming a taxpayer.
Hoops Rumors

Might Milwaukee be reticent to max out Parker with his injury history?
Could we steal him away with an aggressive offer in RFA?
Maybe tempt them with some cheap young talent and expiring contracts?

Sounding like the Portis/Mirotic thing is coming to a head soon. Miro's camp is saying, "It'z him or me". Bulls are ignoring him. Likely Miro will be moved. I'd take him to get an asset from CHI.

Thoughts?

I'd actually pass on him or investing in anybody that can actually get wins for us. We need to be sellers...Hoping Belinelli, Ersan and others will be moved in a couple of months.

Would have loved Mirotic for us in 2015 though. The guy is a straight up bomber..(shooter..)

IIUC, he'd basically be an expiring since next year is a team-option. Again, IIUC. If we can pick up an asset to take him, why not? He ain't helping us win any more games. Plus, would he be flipable (shutup, it's a word!) later?

^I also like Mirotic, think he could be a valuable asset moving forward and would be in favor of taking him on.

I wouldn't pay more than a late, LATE 2nd rounder. But he could help bridge us from one generation to the next.

NOTE: I'm still hopeful we can get this thing turned around in a year. We get a top 5 pick, trade DS for another top 10 pick and then use all that extra cap space to ravage the market for stars in Free Agency.

A team with P George, D Cousins, D Ayton, Miles Bridges, John Collins, Taurean Prince, Nic Mirotic...is an embarrassment of riches in the short and long-term.

If Ersan doesn't start playing and playing well soon i don't see any trades for him. Marco and Dedmon should be desired assets for a contender.

Knicks are about to waive Mindaugas Kuzminskas. I remember liking him last season but not sure why   . Think I just wanted to call him 'Mundungas' Should the Hawks give him a look?
(I thought he was younger, 28)

Hawks were trying to get him before last season but he opted to go to the Knicks and we settled on Delaney.

1. I can't believe the Knicks are making room for Noah as opposed to playing/developing Mindfu(heh, not gonna get bann'd)us or Hernangomez. I'm hoping Noah's stellar(sic) play makes them look foolish.

b. Is there anything LAL can give us that'd make it worth our while to take Deng back? I don't like ThIngram at all. Middle-class man's Corey Brewer IMHO.

The guys that I want from the Lakers are unavailable..Ball and Kuzma...say no to
Ingram and Randle.

True. Nance and Collins have too much overlap so he's off the table too. Plus LAL doesn't have their own FRP. Can some rando 3rd team get involved to get us some picks or young talent?

You would take Lonzo Ball over Brandon Ingram?!?

Has Ingram been that bad this season?

I would totally want Lonzo over any other Laker by far. I love PG's that open up the floor for others and have the great passing ability and vision. Once his shot improves, this kid is a nightly walking triple double.

What is the deal with other NBA fans when it comes to Hawk-related trades? Everybody on the trade board seems to think we're in the market to trade our decent stuff in exchange for their crap.

A guy called into NBARadio and proposed trading Bazemore for Harkless and Evan freaking Turner and no picks. R U kidding me?

I drove off the road. SMDH

1. That deal doesn't even fit under the salary cap.

2. I would consider an Evan Turner for Kent Bazemore swap.

Bad contract for bad contract. But we've at least seen Evan Turner compete at a high level under a good coach. I rate ET as a much higher player and believe he could be rehabbed for higher value in the next 2 years.

3. I would absolutely jump at a Bazemore for Moe Harkless swap.

I want no part of either of those players. Certainly not without a 1st included.

I guess Turner could contribute to winning but we're not at that stage right now. And, no he couldn't be flipped for higher value later. We've seen that movie end badly for 2 teams IIRC.

Harkless ... what is he? A 4? I'm not playing him over Collins or Printz so ... why?
