KP's elbow sleeve and/or the bursitis may have affected his shot

Post#1 » by KnixinSix » Tue Nov 14, 2017 5:11 pm

For such a large main with alot of flailing limbs , he takes alot of shots to that elbow (from defenders, falling to the ground etc). Him missing two FTs is quite rare and his shot doesnt look as consistent (tight spin, trajectory etc) as the first 10 games. I don't think it was just an off night.

Something to look out for the rest of the season.

He wore the sleeve on the left arm to hide that nasty scar.

The sleeve should help but it’s something that should be addressed sooner rather than later(he wants to wait til after the season)

I think once we start falling out of contention then maybe shut him down but right now it’s too early to do that.

Or...maybe he just had a bad shooting night. That shockingly does happen even to superstars over the course of an 82 game season.

Curry dealt with it a couple seasons ago during a Finals run.

KP will be alright.

Why hide the scar? It's not a fashion show.

He also got two quick fouls in the first half.

And then a 3rd that got him quickly benched. It was that 3rd foul, KOQ's run of awful plays, and then Lance being doodoo that let the Cavs get back into it. That's not even taking into account Korver.

Tony Brothers managed the result the NBA wanted.

Put the star of the other team in foul trouble to give a hand to the team with the leagues most marketable star.

Well, it’s like shin splints in a sense, but the severity of it obviously varies from case to case. Also, whether it’s manageable pain or not, doesn’t change the fact that it is pain, and secondly there can be discomfort as a result of that, and moreover there can be swelling on top of that. We don’t know what’s going on under that sleeve on a day to day. It could hamper his shooting efficiency somewhat, or it could have very little of an effect on him. Either way, it’s not an injury you sweep under the rug as non-impactful.

He just had a bad game. It happens to everyone. Look Dirk's third season, he wasn't very consistent throughout the season. Dirk even had 4 bad games in a row in the playoffs.

Also, Jokic isn't on fire every night, neither is Towns. KP just had one of the worse games. That's all.

Ive had it. It can bark or flare-up. It can definitely affect your shot on a day it's acting up.

Seriously do people expect him to score 30+ points on high efficiency every night?
