I'm just going to say, if Nate somehow beats Woodley for the belt, that sets up a huge fight for Conor and Nate.

Being a champion now sure doesn't mean what it used to mean. Part of earning a title is knocking out everyone in your way on the way up, see Max Holloway of Tony Ferguson. This is in stark contrast to some of these guys earning titles and title shots in divisions where they don't even fight, or coming off losses, etc. Its all just BS.

Does that mean Connor vs Woodley really was in the works? 219 is only 6 weeks away and this feels more like a 'late replacement' fight than one that's been in discussion especially when you consider Nate hasn't fought in well over a year and also lost his last fight.

As a former moderator, sexual dynamo, elite athlete, talented writer, and overall amazing person, I don't agree with Nate getting a title shot like this.

This sets up Diaz vs Conor, and even Conor vs GSP.
There's a ton of money on the line for the UFC if Diaz can win.

Dana may slip woodly a sedative before the fight.

Conor has to beat Ferguson, and Nate has to beat Woodley. Those are huge ifs.

Conor Vs. GSP at weighing in at 171 to fight for the 185 title. Conor champ champ champ champ

I'm not the only one that thinks Woodley vs Nate wouldn't be competitive for Nate right? Woodley couldn't outwrestle or out strike a more tactical and bigger Rory but he should have his way with a 'brawler' like Nate.

They are independent contractors. Things would actually be easier for the UFC in some aspects if they were employees. OTOH, this would be the dumbest title fight since about 2 weeks ago.

I might be going from casual fandom to super casual fandom.

Nate will be destroyed by Woodly. Connor nearly knocked him out, Woodly will send his head into the third row.

The only advantage Nate has is that Woodly will take him lightly and probably keep it standing up in order to appease the 'he's boring' crowd, and score a knock out.

Who the **** is Colby Covington? Seriously, never heard of the guy. All I know from this video, is he's a little bitch. You pick a fight with a bigger guy, talk smack, then when he retaliates, you call the cops and press charges. Little punk bitch.

I think it will be 5 rounds of Woodley taking him down. The last 2 fights Nate had against real welterweights he lost. This is like if the UFC gave Machida a LHW title shot against Cormier.

Lol @ Werdum and pretty much all annoyingly nationalistic Brazilians getting triggered by a troll like Covington.

But seriously Werdum needs to stop assaulting people and should probably stop using hateful slurs while he's at it.

It's just the UFC pretending like they took action against Conor for his antics. Ariel pretty much said as much from my interpretation, he was extremely doubtful they had crossed the whole co-promotion bridge so quickly and quietly. He was also implying they had a Woodley fight in mind as of Monday. I'd think if he knew of Woodley/Nate then he would have known about Woodley/Conor.

How much validity is there to the Oscar Da lahoya fight offer to Conor?
If that was legit, it's another bout Conor probably considers before another MMA fight. It won't hit anything near Mayweather numbers, but it's probably got better drawing power than anything else he could get.

Agreed, I could care less, but I could care less against Mayweather but that still poured in the cash.

I actually think it'd be pretty hilarious to see Conor get boxed up by some old man boxer like Oscar or Paulie.

Just strip his UFC belt first though.

But Oscar is 5-6 yrs older than Mayweather, and hasn't fought in a decade. Where as Mayweather hadn't fought for 2 yrs. I have no interest in watching Oscar get murdered.
