Total housecleaning. Mara shouldn't be absolved from this debacle as well. He should've stepped in when McAFart decided to bench Manning.

Giants were never in the same class as the Steelers or Pats, yet somehow everyone thought they were. Reese absolutely deserved to be fired years ago, he's been absolutely dreadful for years. It's amazing how one potential interview with the Eagles absolutely changed directions for both the Eagles and Giants drastically for the next decade.

Oh well, welcome to being just another team in the NFL, it's crowded here. Should be interesting to see how OBJ leads this franchise.

Not defending Reese, but we landed two Rings against those very same Pats. ONLY team in the NFL to do it. Steelers also landed two Rings.

THAT'S why we were in the same breath as them.

It's about consistency, which the Giants have absolutely none. No one can ever take away those rings, it's the only reason Eli is even mentioned as a possible hall of fame player. Two phenomenal years, who knows what happens that one year if Plaxico doesn't shoot himself in the leg.

Consistency with coaching, consistency with success, just plain ole franchise stability. That's the reason they never belonged in that same breathe.

Yet the Giants never moved in the direction the Pats and Steelers are. Evolving with the game was always those franchises' big thing. Giants didn't do that. They stuck with the same predictable formula: How long can we ride Eli Manning's arm? Not even thinking of upgrading a failure of an offensive line or solidifying the linebacker rotation. For that, I put squarely on Reese.

No one in the NFL is consistent tho. Not anymore.

The Seahawks & Broncos both won their Rings then regressed the following years.

Even the lauded Pats fell to us and had multiple years of no Rings to get one again last year (and even then, it was more the Falcons choking then the Pats rising).

But, with that said...I do get where you're coming from.

The Eagles and Cowboys have a nice base but neither haven't done **** for years. And each year the Media praises their Drafts and their signings.

...And each year we can continue to hold those TWO Rings over their head.

At the very least, we're not the Redskins.

as a non-Giant fan (and non-NFL team fan), maybe the Giants can actually attempt to do the following for once:

1) Sign and develop an offensive line
2) Draft good players
3) Get a coach to make sure the team doesn't commit a million penalties a game
