Dot better see a major bump in minutes. Him starting was an encouraging sign from Jeff.

I feel like we've seen this promotion pattern before from Hornacek. I.e. a guy gets injured and he starts somebody completely different that didn't previously play so it doesn't impact his overall rotation pattern.

Hopefully it's just a stress reaction and we let him recover for the proper amount of time

Looks like it'll be around 3-4 weeks unless it's fractured, which given that our easiest stretch is the next two weeks means we're likely to see our season start to go downhill sooner than expected

Ah yes, the classic Knicks-speak with trying to hide major injuries. Weird organization.

I get it, and it makes sense to me if the starter is only missing a game or two. This might be different.

Starting or not though, Dotson should be getting 15+

More shots and/or minutes for frank, baker and dotson. You guys wanted to develop our young players well they will get their opportunity now.

They're being weird about KP too. Is he hurt or not?

A blessing in disguise. We tank while developing our young players.

If they are being weird about KP, then he is being weird as well, since he also said that he was fine.

Perhaps they are being cautious and not rushing things with such a cupcake schedule coming up.

The SUV-tank is now underway. Not a Panzer, but more of a Hummer.

Of course it would make sense to move CLee to SG and start McDermott.

Or

Dotson and CLee and have McD for scoring and flexibility off the bench

but I figure, LFT to the rescue, giving hoop dreams to the uncoordinated everywhere

Guy went from garbage time player to starter. I don't think anyone was expecting him to drop 15 in that game.

Stop trying to blame the organization for everything. This is how these injuries are handled. Until they know if it's a stress fracture or not they won't have a clear timetable on a return or really clear info on anything. Tim needs to go through a bone scan (not an x-ray so they couldn't do it at MSG yesterday) for them to know that. With them just finding out about it yesterday, they're not going to have a clear answer probably until tomorrow or tonight if he got the bone scan done today.

Hopefully they caught it before he fractured it. It's more on Tim than the organization actually. If he felt pain (which he definitely did if it was a stress injury) it's up to him to say something or else reactions eventually turn to fractures which leads you to be way more susceptible to compound fractures.

Start Doug, let Frank and Dotson wreak havoc on back-up backcourts and consider trotting out Frank as the 2 in double-PG sets for a while.
