I don't think the cost of access would be that bad. Figure a flight for $300, hotel for $300 + meals, recreation.

We could feasibly rent out an entire bar and just watch games and talk basketball. We could broadcast the event live on YouTube. I bet we'd get a lot of views.

$600 + meals + recreation just to talk about basketball with people you've never met? I'll pass, as would most people. Meeting up with people in the same city might be kinda cool though.

That's fine. I'm asking for 2 days, that's it. I can plan events at night + during the day also. I'm on the boards all the time as are others. I'm not saying it's for everyone, but it's a unique idea IMO. I actually have the logistics to pull off the hotel + private bar area also.

Well it's a good idea in theory, just would work better with people from the same city or at least the same state. I'm thinking if someone wants to spend $800 they'd probably want to go on an actual vacation.

Why wouldn't this be an actual vacation though?

I don't think most people consider meeting up random people and talking about basketball to be a vacation, unless its like a single's retreat or something, or at least some people of the opposite gender. It's not really a big deal. Just my opinion. I'm sure some people would like to meet up.

Why don't we meet in Moncton New Brunswick? Ya know, some place right in the middle of Realgm fandom?

The weather is beautiful here in the fall / winter / spring and I have a hookup for discount hotel rooms at one of the best hotels in Scottsdale. Airfare is very affordable also into PHX.

I'm gonna be in Phoenix at the end of the month actually (For the Fiesta Bowl). But I don't need a place to stay. Staying with fam.

Regional meet ups might be more feasible, or it may be cool to pick a game(s) to go watch in a city where it’s easy to get tickets...meet before and/or after at a bar...and/or try to all get seats in the same section. A meetup at an event like the NBA draft would be fun too.

I'm just picturing dozens of people sitting around a bar looking up stats on their phones.

This thread is hilarious.

I would love to meet up. Be a LONG flight though, lol.

I can see me and Mylie drinking 30 beers each and hurling abuse at Lakers and Clippers RealGMers all night long. In good spirits of course, lol.

If we could meet up at a central location like L.A. or San Diego I'd be down!

I think I know what you want to do in San Diego:
