Boogie Cousins is that one player who puts up nice stats, but the impact doesn’t match those stats most of the time because:

A. He tries to do too much trying to be a Point Center which makes him do a lot of stupid turnovers. Easy transition points for the other team because he’s too busy whining & flopping after thinking he got fouled instead of running back on D.

B. He gets destroyed on the defensive end, especially on P&Rs. He’s wayyyy too lazy for my liking on that end. Also gets talked out of his game too easily. ZBo did it to him last night. Pels were up 9 with 2 minutes ago so instead of swinging the ball, he wanted to go 1 on 1 vs ZBo. You know what happens next? Here come the Kings.

I used to think AD vs DMC was a debate a few years ago, but seeing them play together, AD is A LOT better than DMC. Not even close.

The only way to retain him would be if he was willing to sign for MLE money or less, and if that was the case, we could just as easily sign him in the offseason without having to trade for him now.

Milwaukee's passed by the Zards, and I think it's just a matter of time before they pass the Raptors in the standings. Bledsoe's made a big difference - giving them another player who can create - that takes a lot of presure off Giannis, Middleton's the perfect complement to them, and Brogdon can now play 3rd quard - which is where he should be. The only question - can they rely on Henson and Maker at center on a regular basis? I wouldn't be surprised to see them make a run at Marc Gasol instead of DeAndre Jordan. Remember, they still have Parker coming back in a month or so. He might be trade bait for a center.

Cappella just punked Cousins tonight. They had to bench Cousins for defensive reasons at certain points in the game because Cappella was getting dunk after dunk.

What an unusual box score. I'm not even going to try to defend DeMarcus Cousins.

For the Pelicans E twaun Moore had 36 points. Jrue Holiday had 37 points. Rondo had a triple-double with 13, 12, and 12. Cousins almost had a triple-double with 24 points 14 rebounds and eight assists.

The Pelican shot 18 out of 33 3-point shots. That is outstanding.

And most unusual of all they lost!!!

Houston is really, really good.

TGW, would you be shocked if I said I would prefer Clint Capela over DeMarcus Cousins? Capella shot 13 out of 14 free throws today. He blocked 5 shots. He's got a lot of bounce. He is a very efficient player. He's very very young.

If James Harden can have a game with 17 assists and 6 steals with Chris Paul also going for 20 that tells you that the Rockets are the truth.

Trevor Booker is tearing it up with the Sixers.

He's a quality player who's going to make that team a lot tougher by playoffs.

Man, Mike D'Antoni just DGAF. Clint Capella is hurt so he starts 6-6 PJ Tucker at center and they win anyhow.

That is exactly why I think you can start Tomas Satoransky at C and win!

Mike D'Antoni has shifted the paradigm.

Golden State maximizes efficient three-point shooting, along with great perimeter defense. Draymond Green, who does a little bit of everything, shifted the paradigm of what a C should be. I realize that Andrew Bogut and others have been at the center position but Draymond plays a lot of C for Golden State.

Mike D'Antoni has so many great floor spacers and shooters that he can put just about anybody at Center. Nene and PJ Tucker can both fill in admirably for Clinton Capella.

The key is to notice how valuable a player PJ Tucker is. He is a great defender who has some perimeter skills. Sorta like Metta World Peace, he can defend perimeter players and post players decently.

It's amazing how much talent Houston has managed to assemble. They have two top 10 overall players at guard in Paul and Harden, and their third guard, Eric Gordon is highly underrated and is probably a top 10 shooting guard in his own right. At forward, they have three guys who have their picture is in the dictionary under "3&D Wing": Ariza, Tucker and Mbah a Moute. All 3 are among the best defensive wings in the league, and all 3 shoot 37% or better from 3. They have Ryan Anderson, who is a bit one-dimensional but he's also the best 3-point shooting big man in the league with a quick release and deadly range and accuracy. Capella is statistically the best center in the NBA right now and ranks 4th in the league among all players in WS/48. And Nene is a quality backup center.

More plays chess, EG plays checkers.

Morey inherited a team with two stars (tmac, Yao) that he lost to injuries. He completely turned over the roster yet never had a losing record.

I would be curious about.the highest draft pick he has on the current roster. Not a player he traded for but actually drafted.

Yup. As I said in response to the trade. No surprise at all.

One of Ernie's best moves as a GM was trading up to pick Booker -- then he did the usual thing & let him walk for nothing!

I remember when I really liked DeJuan Blair and said Trevor Booker was nowhere near as good of a player.

I was flat wrong about that.
