Trump is basically just putting right wing populist shine on the SOS the Republican party has always stood for, and quite honestly, the Democratic party too, at least since the early 90's and probably sooner. Not only the hacking itself, but the fact that they refused to comply with the NY Attorney General's investigation into the hacks. They're being sued using the Freedom of Information Act for withholding info from the public as well. It's ugly what they just did.
