Just weird that these guys wouldn't be elite like their fathers .
It tells you just how difficult it really is to be a professional athlete. It's not just genes, you have to have serious mental and physical toughness. Sometimes people who grow up rich, never needing anything, just don't have the same drive or will that propelled their fathers to greatness. And they don't need to because often they still have generational wealth to fall back on when basketball doesn't pan out.
Rarely you see it happen - Steph Curry is an example. His dad wasn't an all-time great but he was a solid pro.
