If Levert continues to improve his play the way he has over the last month, do you guys like him as a starter or someone who facilitates the bench unit?

Not sure where I stand on that tbh. Will be a good debate topic come the dog days of June/July

I have really high expectations for LeVert but for argument's sake, let me bring them down a bit.

Right now, he's our best backcourt defender. He can run the break and finish inside at a high level. He can help take ball handling pressure of Russell. He should be starting off of that alone. We can stagger guys after that.

You sure? Dinwiddie is putting up borderline all-star production.

Borderline all star is pushing it. He's played like a starter tho. We'll have to consider Dinwiddie since his shooting and facilitating might work best next to Russell, Crabbe and RHJ. He demands less touches and is a lot more careful with the ball.

We need to see what the chemistry is like. We're not sure what Russell is yet and what type of guard he works best with. Personally I think LeVert gives our lineup max potential on both ends of the floor. But if he's really a below average 3pt shooter (I don't think he is), itll be tough to start him, Allen and RHJ.

If everyone progresses...personally I think Caris is giving me hope he can push Dlo to SG.

Caris the primary ball handler, Russ scorer.

2nd unit comes in, Din and Lin. Din the primary ball handler, Lin the scorer/penetrate.

A Levert/Allen 1/5 pnr would put the Deron/Brook pairing in a looooooong looooong distant memory.

LeVert is seriously becoming a floor general on both sides of the court. His decision making is miles better than what it was at the start of the season, as is his defense. I like that he works over screens really well. At the start of the season he was going under and leaving his guy open.

When D'Lo returns, I wanna see Din - DLo - Caris - Dae - Allen staring for the rest of the season

How about Russ-Caris-DMC-RHJ-Allen post all star break?

I feel like Caris next to D-Lo really works because CLV has shown that he can be a PG and take pressure off of Dlo having to be the primary ball handler all the time and enables CLV to take the tougher match up at the PG/SG spot.

Carroll would be a better fit if with want more defense, but Crabbe can work as well if we want more offense.(He has low key been decent of defense as well.)

Din-Crabbe-Harris-OK4-Zeller or Din-Sauce-Crabbe-Harris-Zeller is a good bench rotation.

LeVert is finally hitting the groove I expected him to hit to start the season.

9 Games in December:
28 MPG, 13 PPG, 5 APG, 3 RPG, 1,4 SPG
58% TS. 37% from 3, 84% FT

Effortlessly switching between PG and SG on offense and defense. Didn't think he had that in him. He's been awesome defensively.

We're about to hit a tough stretch but hopefully he finishes strong and gets October and November completely out of sight. This guy is a starter and can do it all on the floor. Still really impressed by how easily he gets to the rim and finishes.

to me the most encouraging thing is the three point shooting... especially considering alot of it is off the dribble or transition pull ups. great to see him bounce back strong

Caris LeVert was 3 for 5 wit a hand in his face. He's starting to get more confident.

Really glad LVJ is finally finding his footing, after probably having his momentum disrupted by the injury in camp.

I'd love to see an absolute breakout game from him...or Din...of like 30+ points and taking over a game. I think that would give him the confidence he needs to go to the next level. I also wonder if its time to demote Crabbe. Prok, I'm completely with you now and have lost faith in Crabbe ever being worth his contract and opportunity costs.

I'm very surprised at how he's able to handle the point guard duties, I didn't think he could be this good that quick... he is super quick with a nice quick first step, able to get to the rim and twist his body... I'm all for playing team ball but we're going to need a game from him where he gets 30 points to win a game for us.

Levert's Dec numbers:

28.5 mpg 47.6 FG% 42.5 3PT% 83.3 FT% 3.3rebs 4.5asts 0.5blk 1.3stl 13.4pts

I'd love to see his mpg go up to around 34 but I think he's limited since the Nets need to give minutes to Stauskas and Harris. Once Dlo comes back, there'll be a crunch.

Levert really had the potential to be a star player, another two way player and keep improving.
