I honestly feel awful for him. I feel awkward/embarrassed just watching him play at this point. I wish no one would have signed him so that he could have just went to an overseas league and probably been halfway decent.

Re: Hornets sign MCW
I think the FO took the wrong approach when looking for a backup PG. They've been so concerned with height and defense (MCW, Stone, Weber, etc..) but seeing the substantial dropoff when Kemba isn't on the floor (backed by his on/off stats), I think we would have been better off with having another scoring PG that can replicate at least some of what Kemba can do.
A Lou Williams type would have been perfect. He's averaging 20.8 points on 44% and 40% from three in 31 mpg this season and has been attainable, the guy's been on five different teams over the last five years while being on a modest contract. Plus, LAC might be looking to move him / blow it up. He would have been a great stopgap for Monk. But it's too late now. If we were just on the outside of the playoffs, I'd trade an asset for him, but there's no point now.

I literally cringe anytime he starts to drive. Like, full shoulder shrug, squinty eyed, teeth clenched cringe.
The only time I feel relief is when he twists in the air and kicks it back out to someone at the 3pt elbow.

To be fair you did say that you actually liked Briante Weber more than MCW almost immediately afterwards. I agreed. I’m just having a little fun.

Pretty sure 25 other teams would have cut him at this point or at least stopped playing him. It's embarrassing. Both for the player and the franchise. All this tall defensive point guard stuff just reeks of Clifford. One more reason he should not be given any input on this roster ever again.

I guess we can also thank Walker and his agent for this wonderful gift they dropped on us this summer thanks

On a side note are there any other Syracuse players that were worth a **** in the NBA other than Carmelo?

Wouldn't be ironic if the MCW signing is what ultimately leads to Cho/Cliff being fired, which in turn sours Kemba on the team? Talk about unintended consequences if so.
My picks:
2020 Draft (3rd pick) - Tyrese Haliburton, Devin Vassell, or Onyeka Okongwu
2021 Draft (11th pick) - Moses Moody

Cho doesn’t get to escape this one unscathed. We were backed into a corner due to his lack of utilizing our cap space to take someone of MCW’s caliber.
The scouting team didn’t do their job on this signing. They blindly assumed MCW couldn’t be this bad based on his ROY season and looking at box score stats. Anyone that actually watched MCW would know that he’s this bad regardless of the percentages.

I want to wrap this discussion back around to Hinkie. He's the guy who drafted MCW. Sure as a GM Hinkie was smart enough to cut ties ASAP, but I want to point out that Sam has missed on picks too.

Hinkie missed on or misused a lot of picks. Noel, Okafor, etc. That’s why I hate when teams draft the same position over and over just because of BPA. I remember Minnesota doing it with Love/Beasley/DWilliams and with Rubio/Flynn while signing Sessions in his prime.
