I don't imagine Sessions having any value though, not even a 2nd round pick type of value. Jack is hands down better and can contribute more

Who are we fooling? Neither have value lol.
Especially with every team in the league knowing our intentions. If Scott turns either, particularly Sessions, into an asset he needs an extension immediately.

That's why I brought up Houston and their 2nd rounder. That's probably going to be a 2nd rounder in the 50s range, which really is not much value at all. It might be worth it for the Rockets if they get can a good 2nd half rental on Jarrett Jack since they do need some depth for the playoffs and they are very thin at backup PG. We also know that Chris Paul has a history of getting injured in the playoffs. It could give them at least some insurance :dontknow:

Jack has shown he can still be a nice backup. I think he has some value.

I'd be interested what the delay was. I guess the Knicks were seeing if they could get something, anything for Sessions.

On the bad news/good news for Sessions, the Knicks were able to find Jack and made the move, the patient move, to go with him.

I think it's still worthy note that the Knicks completely f*cked up the Sessions thing.

Hear me out.
The Knicks knew they had no vet PG and I get that pickings were slim. But that wanted a PG who could get in the paint a little, run the team and "mentor" Frank, mentoring being pretty important because Frank is completely raw. They go out and make a point of signing a guy, someone who the scouting staff sells them on is worth it, and guarantee his contract. He immediately shows he's not worth it at all, and they have to search in the discount bin for Jack, who has worked out as well as could be expected.

It's not exactly confidence inspiring, but on the plus side they quickly recognized how much they screwed up and looked for someone else and went with him.

There's a reason Jeff and KP were optimistic about the 2nd half of the season after the game and it wasn't just because Tim played well.

That Burke will be the answer because he's a guard that can hit shots?

I figured it was just standard cookie cutter BS optimism.

Jeff's been begging for guard penetration and more 3s for weeks now because it makes a huge difference to what you can do with your offense. No reason we shouldn't be better than we were during the first half.

KP's second half regression says no.

Also, hopefully the Knicks trade KOQ and CLee and maybe Beasley and get worse. Tired of these treadmill teams.

Won't make much of a difference because Jeff will still play Jack over Ntilikina in the starting lineup, and still play LMFTB even when Hardaway returns. They still are a bottom 10 team.

Well, I'd say Burke could get Bakers minutes, but Baker only got minutes because THJr was out.

The early lineup, which had some of that spread the floor guard play Jeff likes was:

Jack
CLee
THJr
KP
Kanter

A point guard, two shooting guards, a PF and a C

IF getting Burke playing time is a think, I think the rotation might look like?

Jack/Frank
CLee/Burke
THJr/LFT (unfortunately)
KP/Beasley
Kanter/KOQ
Little bit of Baker, maybe

Without going into lineup choices that are too complicated, Jack/Frank/CLee/Burke lets Jeff go 3 guard more often -basically 5 guards among the 1-2-3

Burke cramming the playbook finally hears his "Knicks waive Sessions" Twitter alert.

Boy, how will he find minutes, we've lost 10 of 13 and our PG play is the worst in the league. Head scratcher!
