Damn, so young and so much potential. That really sucks.

Taker can hardly move at this point. Why bother? There's no streak to defend or any other real stakes.

People want to see the entrance, the eyes roll back, the throat-slash, and the tombstone piledriver. That's it. People will still 100% mark out for that. Why not just have him do all those things to some schmo between matches instead of putting everyone through the agony of him trying to wrestle a full match?

Spoiler:
I'm sick to death of that stupid Reigns and lesnar match, the first one was only saved by the cash in and the cena vs undertaker match is 2 years too late, Cena should have ended the streak and gone heel, would have meant bigger business.

Honestly, another promotion paying Cena millions to join them and go heel would have the same effect that Hogan going heel in WCW had. It would get everyone to tune in, and it would make wrestling relevant again in a way that it hasn't been in over a decade.

Might even have a bigger effect than Hogan going heel simply because Cena, unlike Hogan, is fully capable of putting on 4-5 star matches with guys. You could pair him up with some of the best indie guys in the world and he can hold his own, especially with non-WWE guys laying out his matches so they're not all identical.

Cena with ruthless heel offense, just throwing dudes around, would be awesome.

Basically a perfect performer version of Brock.

Well, I said they should have waited a year or so before putting Paige back in the spotlight. Sigh.

I'd book a sort of "just happy to be there" Cena for a couple of months, where he's going out and having good matches with a variety of guys, but he doesn't beat any of the top guys in the company, and comes up short every time he's given a number one contender shot or involved in any title tournament. Make it look like Cena just signed there for the money, and that he's going to just put guys over in his old age. After big losses, he shakes the other guy's hand in classic WWE "try to put Roman over by having legends raise his hand after a loss" style.

Finally, he ends up getting his main title shot against the biggest face in the company. He loses, naturally, as most have come to expect. Afterward, he offers his hand to the champ. The champ takes it, then Cena delivers a vicious clothesline and proceeds to just destroy the champ for a couple of minutes after the match. Chair shots, blood, the whole nine yards.

I have to think that anyone who is even remotely interested in wrestling would start tuning in to a promotion after hearing about that. It's why it feels like such a missed opportunity for WWE. I know Cena's their golden boy, but damn...they're leaving a lot of money on the table by refusing to ever turn him, especially now that he's not getting any younger and probably won't be around much longer.

Read on Twitter

He gets a ton of hate, but I really enjoyed his last run.

Golberg's squashing of Lesnar was a complete disgrace. The bad taste will likely remain in my mouth whenever I see him honored.

I thought his last run was pretty much terrible outside of the final match with Lesnar, which was genuinely well-booked and a hell of a lot of fun. Prior to that, it was just dumb, and they never should have put the world title on him.

Random thought:

Carmella with the cropped top or with the one piece?

Football is actually a terrible, boring sport that no one would care about if not for tribalism (especially in the case of college), gambling and fantasy. Unless Vince can take advantage of those three factors, this thing is doomed. Football sucks.

Fortunately for "the boys," this venture has no connection to WWE, financial or otherwise.

Maybe Vince will focus on his XFL and have Triple H book RAW and Smackdown for a while. (Wishful thinking)

He said in the press conference that he'll be hiring people to run the league while he remains with WWE. His role won't charge, according to him.
