I ABSOLUTELY think that was a factor. If nothing else, it all but assured anyone in the organization that thought they should get rid of him before the season that they were right to question him. I've said it before, but that was straight loser talk. It's been a long time since I was a coach, but when I was, never would have said anything that weak minded.
