Blake and Drummond probably aren't beating the Warriors but if you surround them with shooters and maybe one or two guys break out, they could be a tough out for anyone in the playoffs. Especially with how weak the East is.
I just think back to that awesome Mavs team that won a chip with Scrappy vets and a prime Dirk. They were counted out the entire playoffs. If management gave up on them and tried to rebuild cause they were an old team likely to get knocked out early in the playoffs, we'd never see that magical run.
the problem is Griffin cant stay healthy and is owed 4 years/142 million after this season. hard to build around a star who cant play 75+ games consistently. he also hasnt played at a superstar level since 13-14 and you have to be concerned injuries are wearing him down, which becmes more risky since he relies alot on athleticism
they also got a great package for him
