Iguodala/Bogut/Lee/Livingston >>>>>>>>> Snell/Delly/Henson/Teletovic but I suppose that doesn't matter because they are both a series of "overpaid roleplayers."

Come at me with something other than "lol ringz" logic then. You guys can live in this fantasy world where overpaid role-players don't litter every single championship roster, because every single player that isn't either a superstar on a max deal or a good player on a rookie contract is by definition "overpaid".

Yes, too many MLE type contracts is bad for your cap. Get rid of or don't sign the bad ones then (Mirza, Delly, Plumlee). Tony Snell isn't on a bad contract and spending any sort of money on role-players so long as they're good role-players isn't the inherent problem.

Can we trade the Bucks forum picture of the old Bucks logo for the new one that's been around for almost three years?

Dedmon is still the easiest and cheapest big man acquisition out there. I’ll be livid if we give up pieces to either Whiteside or Jordan without any type of assurance that they would stay

...and Dedmon will be way cheaper on his next contract

...and he actually spaces the floor

Whiteside has two more years on his deal after this one.

:dontknow:

You spelled 45m wrong. Lee was an inherited contract and the other guys outperformed their deals.

Wasn’t aware of that. Either way he’s a name that would take a lot more to acquire. Miami isn’t taking our scraps for Whiteside

Snell and Vaughn for Gortat & Jodie Meeks works for me. Saves the Wizards a bunch of tax money.

Would rather trade Jabari for DeAndre than anything for Whiteside.

No. You're living in a world where impact bench pieces equal non-impact bench pieces because they're both paid money. There's is literally zero reason why Golden State's bench should be used as a counterexample in this argument because A) They're far better players and B) They're winning championships. We aren't on that level. If you're a 50+ win ball club looking to take that next step, and solidify your contention. Go ahead, splurge. We aren't there.

Tony Snell is not a "good roleplayer." "Good Roleplayers" have consistent impact on games. Tony Snell doesn't. This is like all of that ppgzzzzzz stuff only it's 3PT%zzzzzzzz.

I think I'd rather not blow my wad right now on the big names like HW and DAJ. I mean, I'll be excited for the stretch run of trying to make the finals and I think we all know I wouldn't mind just cashing out Jabari to eliminate the variable so I'm sure there's deal there i would do. But GSW is almost unbeatable anyway and I'd probably want more flex/assets for later. Just give me the playable ok 5 & Jabari and lets see what happens this year.

I don't want to go after Jordan or Whiteside. The center position is marginalized in today's league. If you're looking for a position where you can get what you need on the cheap it's there. This team can get what it needs out of the position for half of what those two guys are/will be paid.

I think Kidd was pushing hard for the Bucks to trade Jabari and leaking to everyone.

Firing Kidd makes me think it's less likely for us to deal him now.

That's especially for a Schwartz client.

Going to have to add at least Henson and Snell to that deal to get close to the number you need, and would they want Henson and Snell? Why would the Clippers want Parker when they are trying to clear cap space at a misguided attempt at Lebron?

What changed in the span of a week?

RFA. They can offer Lebron the max and then if that fails (which it likely will), match any offers for Jabari afterwards.

Cuz we're getting Winslow back in that deal too and shedding Delly's contract? I wouldn't give up straight value to pay Whiteside, but that trade actually saves us money over the long term and we gain a really good asset.
