So sad for her family and especially her 3 children. Their album "To the Faithfully Departed" is fantastic.

Btw, just landed in LAX and saw both Lamelo and Liangelo lol. Both looked as dumb as advertised. They told a fan they were shooting a scene for the YouTube Big Baller show or whatever it is at the airport.
I was initially wowed by the special effects. After time to reflect it really pains me to say, but it was just horrible. The plot makes no sense many times. In fact, the plot isn't even consistent with The Force Awakens. How many plot lines from TFA were totally dropped in the Last Jedi? It's like they aren't even writing a cohesive series of movies.
Where The Lord of the Rings was a 10, woven together like a beautiful tapestry, these new Star Wars movies are a 1 or 2. The plot is just non-sensical.

Can't say I agree. I found TLJ to be right there with Empire and I love that it is finally moving Star Wars in a new direction. I found the character development and plot to be top tier for Star Wars.
Dropping the plot lines from TFA was awesome, imo.Spoiler:

Can't say I agree with _any_ of this. To me it's one of the worst plot lines of any Star Wars movie I've seen. It's supposed to be a trilogy -- clearly the second movie wasn't even written yet and they were writing by the seat of their pants, because it plays like a random mad lib the directors were playing. The story-telling was just mentally challenged. If you're going to tell the audience to expect something in the second movie, then take it away ----- I don't even know why writers would do that. It's certainly not edgy, it's just poor writing.
And for chrisakes, why does Rey know how to do everything for no reason? There isn't even a genetic reason to believe it. She beats Luke in a duel... the dude's been a Jedi for her entire life. Trained under some of the great masters, and this naive, young twig somehow can beat her in a duel. Not edgy, just dumb.
The whole movie's like that. So be forewarned, if that's not your cup of tea, guys.

That said, my daughter loved it and I probably hated it less thean my father hated the original.

Got to agree with you here, DarkAzcura. I watched it for a second time the other night and while I wouldn't say I absolutely loved it, I did thoroughly enjoy it. And while there are some issues with the plot, they weren't big enough of a problem to effect my enjoyment. I am also glad to see Johnson take the plot and feel in a different direction from previous Star Wars movies and visually it was amazing. And I don't care about Snoke and Rey's heritage much either.
Be interesting to see how Abrams approaches Episode 9.

Episodes 1 and 2 are some of the worst movies I have ever seen, heh. For me, episode 8 is magnitudes better, and on similar levels as ESB.Ed Pinkney wrote:DarkAzcura wrote:

Hopefully he builds on what Johnson put forward! Ignore the haters! Episode 8 was incredibly critically acclaimed. The fan base will get over the 'changes' eventually.

I have no idea who this guy is, but I saw a link to these tweets a few weeks ago and had similar feelings when I heard/read people being overly critical or complaining about the story/plot etc. Some of them made me smile, most of them hit pretty true.

I'm thinking the casting director has a fetish or something because I believe you gotta be LOOKING for that in people in order to have that many of your characters to have a cleft chin. I don't know how common it is (I have one) but no way it's by chance that there are like 6 main characters with one. It's stupid but I had to tell someone lmao!!!
