same.

On a separate note, in order for me to take advantage of this dip, I would have to transfer money into coinbase, which would take about 2 weeks. :(

No debit or credit card?

Apparently most banks banned it

I thought it was only credit card purchases that were banned, not debit...

alright. now that we've hit the ~7900 range and seen huge volume resistance i think it's clear sailing to around 9500-10k resistance level. after that it's down to the 7ks again

i will be taking satoshi profits at around 9350 depending on how the volume holds up

Its going to happen for the foreseeable future imo. The market is being manipulated to dip as low as it can. They will chip away at BTC piece by piece so it won't be drastic drop, but gradual.

This is not organic at all.

How is it not organic if it happens every year at this time? Plus the SEC thing too.. I think this is the last dip, and we will start recovering toward the end of this week, with Tuesday being the biggest dip and best time to buy in.

People need to stop comparing years past to the current cyrpto world. SO many things have changed in the last year. Second. alot of people who been around crypto for years say this dip is different than years past. Its happening multiple times and often in a short span. The Big boys are playing now. Last year around this time Bit Coin was still "underground" last Jan compared to where we were at it with the last few months. Whole new set of players is in the game. If you think every few days is just cause of FUD or some Asian time of the year...I cant go down that road. Whales are part of the reason why its dipping. They benefit the most from it since they have the longest bank. Flood the market, then buy it all back.

I looked up last years dip. It was not even more than 300 and did not last that long from what i can tell. This year dips from Jan to Feb is almost over 10,000 dollars because of "this time of year". Its at almost half its value in just a month.Much stronger dip than last year.New year brings new variables.

This is not our fathers Crypto....

Fair point, I'm more parroting what others have said, and its not just last year this dip happened at this time, 2014, 2015 and 2016 it happened too, and everytime the dip got more extreme and took longer to recover. I forgot who posted it in here but the 2014 dip took 43 days, 2015 took 50 days, etc.

So while the other dips might now have been as extreme as this, you can also realize that the new people looking into crypto and stuff may have also caused a larger dip. The more people aware/involved the more extreme dips and stuff may become on a year to year comparison.
