Cavs deal is being held up that the Kings have no interest in Shumpert of J.R. Smith . Hence why no deal has been made .

If the Kings were willing to take either a deal would have already been done .

Kings are holding out for the Cavs to offer their 1st in a deal .

I did hear recently that if a deal is done it could be either Shumpert or J.R. Smith either going to a 3rd team were we also may get I.T. in a deal possibly with a 1st round pick & a 3rd team getting our early 2nd rounder in this years draft . Looks like it could be the Mavs or Pacers likely should a 3rd team get involved .

No deal is for sure but many things have been tossed around and these are some of the newer versions.

That doesn’t sound good at all.

I don't think we could get much of anything. Probably better to give him another G league run next yer.

I don’t see what he could bring back. We might as well keep him. If a team offers a late first or early second, then you jump. I just don’t see a team doing that. Papa was drafted as a project so he needs to be treated like one. If he is traded for less, then that pick turns out even worse than it was before.

I said that quit awhile ago a few times . No surprise really .

I know Spurs , Blazers have interest as Blazers also have interest in Koufas . Mavs have some interest as well as a couple of other teams.

I don't get why. It's another example of a young player they never put in a position to gain any sort of value, what do they think they'll get? He's a reach pick who has some nice upside, you stick with it and move on. :nonono:

I was just told via text that there is now a deal getting very close Shumpert & Frye in a deal for Hill .
Hawks were a team that the 2 teams talked with were M.Belinilli might be involved . There is a chance we may get something done without a 3rd team however it is unlikely .

If a deal is done more might be involved

So you keep him around 4 years and let him walk?

Its not a skill issue with Papa.

In my eyes he's a lost cause

I agree. A young big like him is never going to develop in the first 3 years. It may even take 5-6 years. Don’t draft these kinds of players if you aren’t prepared to put them in the best possible situation.

I find it funny that they spent two seconds on Willy, he plays well in his first season, then he’s moved for two future seconds.

Suns looking at deals for Chriss. I think its time to crown the Kings winner of the trade.

I'd be pleased about getting Chriss. ZBo will knock some sense into him)

He's like 20 though. If they didn't draft him with the idea that he was a multi-year project then they are all brain dead and the franchise is going to be stuck on the same treadmill until they clear house yet again and get someone competent. The odd thing is he has professional experience can clearly play. He's not a freaking newborn. But he is young and needs he floor time.

I'm OK with trading the excess youth but this is exactly why you play them, not sit them. They are a rebuilding team and building value in the young assets has to be a priority if not THE priority. This "but we are going to try and win" and "they'll improve by watching the older guys" nonsense is nothing more than coach and FO self service so they can have their cake and eat it to. Reality check, it's failing and failing badly. They have run a 12 rotation all year and split the minutes down the middle. Good luck getting value on the trade market with an entire team of players who haven't even had the chance to produce. The middle is no place to be.

IMO, the core problem is that we have too much youth, and Papagiannis is a casualty of that.

IF we assume there is a logic behind looking to move him (which :-? ) it could be that based on what they've seen in Reno and practice (and the little bit of PT he has received), Georgios won't improve his value by playing more.

Hey stranger. :)

And this is what I don't get, because how much lower could it go? I mean unless some team was off the charts into him before and his end of the bench role as onlooker hasn't deterred them. I think if given enough minutes he's shown an ability to produce to some extent. The defense might be bad, but it's the worst in the league already so it's kind of like one of those things where you're damned if you do, damned if you don't.
