My money is on the Knicks rushing him back.

My money is on KP hiring Dr Oz to run his rehab, he uses essential oils to help heal his ACL, and KP crumples in a heap his first game back.

I tend to be a little pessimistic though.

Don't know why folks are painting the organization as the boogie man. Everything that has happened and will happen is on KP and Janis. Maybe, just maybe he should've trained here with pros and skipped the entire Latvian excursion. I'm interested to see what he does now.

Seriously? This organization has been a circus for decades now. And don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that Knicks are somehow to blame for the fact that KP got injured - that seemed like a freak (no pun intended) accident more than anything. But surely you can't be surprised if people are worried about Knicks getting KP the best help possible and making all the right decisions for his long term health. For every right decision the Knicks have made in last 2 decades, there also seem to be at least 2 or 3 major blunders commited. This video sums the Knicks up pretty well:

He’s pretty much out all of next season right?

its usually a 10-12 month recovery...and the few months after can be a bit tricky in terms of get back to your normal self...so I think the knicks will take it very slow with him. If he comes back at all next year it will be late in the year because just for confidence reasons he wants to get a few games in...but I think he will miss most of next year as well.

Personally hoping he misses the entire year as the Knicks "Embiid\Simmons" him.

i mean I wouldn't mind he tries to play a few games...if we nail this draft and get a really good pick in next year. We should be able to attract a FA too. It might be good to show a potential FA that KP is back and ready to play in 2020...but if he misses the whole year I won't complain either, just needs to be healthy.

What were we rumored to get for him in addition to drafting Lauri Markkanen?

And this is why this might be best thing to happen to the Knicks because now they have a chance to add an impact player. The higher you are, the more control one has over their fate.

Anyone know which doctor/hospital is performing the surgery?

Let's say we somehow land a top 5 pick and draft the rookie of the year next year - whoever that might be. The Garden is alive again for games and we even look like we might have a shot at the playoffs.

Do you think the Knicks/Dolan will stand for slow playing the KP comeback or do they rush him back?

Ugh. I hate seeing this thread. I am just hoping the surgery and rehab are a success right now. I'm not thinking about when he plays again.

I think Jānis will make sure he's not rushed back too early. But there might be a pressure on KP to return, yes. I bet he'll want to play himself.

David Robinson year and net us a Duncan and a Leonard. Hopefully this could be a blessing in the end and a perfect recovery of KP.

Same here and this is a good time also to take care of the elbow which has been giving him problems all season and other nagging injuries.

Jaylen Brown and the 3rd pick, which would’ve been Jackson. Phil wanted another 1st rounder on top of that.

Lauri wouldn’t have made it to us tho, or I’m getting rumors confused.
