If this was something like Euroleague where teams don't draft and develop but just throw out money to assemble best roster possible then we might have a chance at winning.

But since Knicks can't develop s*** and the fanbase/media is basically additional tumor so you shouldn't hold your breath

Go read some threads from 2013. The Knicks winning makes this board insufferable.

No.

People would continue to stake out opinions and value holding them and being right over everything else.

This has always been a board of either extreme pessimism or extreme optimism. Winning or losing always results in one or the other.

When the Knicks win hundreds of bandwagon posters join the board and make it insufferable to post. When they’re trash it’s really just the old gang that’s active around here

It's the Knick board way.

Define "Winning Knicks Team"? If you're talking a prolonged change in culture and reputation, then I'd say yes. Also, if we became a winning team I'm sure that we'd have a ton of new posters and anybody that would be hugely negative even with a winning team probably wouldn't stick around too long.

Knicks won't have a winning team next year. And nor should they even try. Next year really needs to be about developing our youth.

No, people would still complain. Porzingis made the All-Star team at 22 and 60% of this board hated him.

Yes. Go to a winning team's forum. Not talking about one winning season. A franchise that's winning consistently. Their forum is usually more light-hearted. We've been through almost 20 years of losing. It will take a while to shake that off if we ever become good again.

Winning Knicks? Bit of a contradiction wouldn't ya say? That'd be like saying likable Cavalier or Humble Embiid or tolerable Celtic fan.

Just contemplating "Winning Knicks" is:
Image
Those last 70 seconds, Randle in a nut shell.

Awful 2 for 1 3PT attempt when we are up 2
Doesn’t close out on Sabonis --> open 3
Takes another side step off balance 3

We got sucked into the Randle vortex where all good feelings go to die.

I think James Dolan is the OP.
