This surgery is going to force KP to lift like crazy. He's going to be hella ripped next season.

Pretty sure that’s who did the surgery. Read up on him.

And Lisa Callahan is considered one of the best doctors in the country.

Great mindset.

The most depressive/pessimistic people in the world all live on the Knicks realgm forum.

It's called reality.

To expect a skinny injury prone 7'3" guy with bad knees to begin with and now a torn ACP to make a comeback like nothing ever happened is living in a fantasy world.

He wasn't that injury prone in Europe, but of course the NBA schedule is much tougher and takes its toll. Whether he's going to stay ripping his ACLs, I don't know - too much unknowns about his rehab, will he change his training team, will he change his play style, play primarily PF or C, etc. I just think at this point if you can predict his future career/health so surely, you might as well tell us the winning lottery numbers.

Bad knees? What? And it's ACL, not ACP. History shows you that as long as it's just an ACL and nothing else, chances are good he comes back the same. The rehab they have these guys do is very intensive and focuses, obviously, on the lower body. It's why you see very few re-injuries and how many players come back just as good as before. This isn't the dark ages of surgery and rehab. Non-contact ACL injuries are preventable. It's up to KP to rehab with real professionals and put in the work. You're just being pessimistic for the sake of it.

Also, you think ESPN is going to write articles that sound rosy and dandy? Obviously not. It's bad for business.

Lol. Eh, I thought I'd share it, but at the same time, it really sounds like what was already stated.

But figured I'd share it because it echo'd that post by someone by a doctor at Hosp of Special Surgery, who also said "it's bad".

I just take that to mean complete tear instead of partial, but we know that.

Then again, KP isn't that good and not a difference maker to so many of the knowledgeable posters on here, so it doesn't really matter if he comes back or not. Knicks look so much better without him. :D

Jabari Parker had two ACL surgeries and looks great. :D

Define great. He's only played 4 games haha.
Make the Knicks great again!

This guy too:

The HSS is just a couple blocks from where I live and my mom used to work with them sometimes when she worked at Weill Cornell/New York Presbyterian. HSS is a world class place so his surgery was always going to be a success. It's up to him and his rehab now. Hopefully he doesn't hire schmucks.

3 years in the league and being injured more then 3 times. That’s injury prone in my eyes.

I’ve never practiced a sport nor have I lifted weights for 14 hours straight. I’ve worked 14+ hours on numerous occasions but got paid for it.

I don’t understand your question

precisely my point...you went there not me- don't try to challenge someone you don't know. Just stick to the topic. I professionally train. Fast for 43 days. I'll bet you your life savings- for mine- that I'm in better shape than you (and lets be clear- you went there not me)--

The original comment was a reference toward the fact that a professional athlete that plays 82 games a year of professional Ball gets sore muscles, bruises, sprained ankles ALL THE TIME. Yet, you agreed with the assertion that it qualified as being injury prone...

Judging from the game against the Knicks he looks as spry as a bunny to me. He was in tip-top shape.
