Why are these miserable times? We got a rebuild that was half assed. Now it's full blown!! All of our picks! This is heaven!!! We are in the lottery for the 3rd time in FOUR years and we had picks in ALL of them!! Possibly another one next year!!

Eventually...this has to work. Just stay the course and keep all picks!!

Better question: If the Knicks board was less toxic, would it change the Knicks winning %. I think that it would...

the atmosphere of this board has nothing to do with the knicks record. it's about something else. something you wouldn't understand unless you were one of us. it's about friendship, it's about camaraderie, it's about fraternity and most of all....it's about pettiness. everlasting pettiness. and that's the way we like it. now stfu and gtfo. thank you.

Winning doesn’t change the atmosphere of a sports forum filled with the most rabid fans of any team.

I won’t mention rival forums, but look at the main San Antonio Spurs forum and you can realize that even having pop doesn’t change a thing to crazy fans.

Hell, the 10 nugget fans on their forum are crying mad about mike Malone and his queens tough guy mantra and “defense fuhrst” mantra

Oh stop it. You two guys were ecstatic earlier in the year.

It’s not miserable for me other than KP getting injured and the Jeff-Vet love affair. We’re going to be in the lotto the next two years and hopefully we can develop the kids. Even took a flier on a guy I liked.

You're right! I was.

But there's no hypocrisy here. I said - and you can look this up if you want - that we would not begin to tank until the trade deadline because we needed to try and build a winning culture here. Now the trade deadline has come and gone and we're all in with playing the kids. There's still plenty of time to tank. Actually, I was down with the tank about 2-3 weeks before the deadline. The handwriting was already on the wall by then.

Now with KP out, we turn lemons into lemonade. We're going to "tank" whether we like it or not. So let's get two great draft picks and get ready for free agency 2019. KP will come back better than ever and we'll be competing in the playoffs 19-20. Obviously, KP getting hurt changes a lot. But I'm optimistic that it'll all work out to our benefit in the end.

What a winning team does to this board is twofold

One it changes the conversation. For some. Some will still look for the team to fail to win an argument or say if we can’t win it all as the favorites we shouldn’t try. But others will rally around a singular goal, winning. Instead of tanking or contract chasing.

The other thing is a change in who’s here. Some new bandwaggoners will show but to be honest they usually aren’t worse than the regulars. But winning also brings in the old heads and the serious posters who get the game and want to talk real basketball. It’s wknderful.

Winning should be the goal for all knicks fans. It’s a bad time so it’s not right now but hopefully we will get back there sooner than later

If the Knicks won a championship, there would be a group of fans bitching about something the VERY next day.

I've seen it with the Yankees. They have fans who can't even enjoy the parade because they're crying about the next season already.

Btw, this is by far the VERY best board on RealGM.

It's a testament to Knicks fans in light of how putrid the last 18 years have been. The franchise done nothing to warrant such passion and dedication.

Even the people I disagree with I appreciate because I know they're bleeding orange and blue.
