You can't waive and stretch him with all the money left. You have to play him and live with the results. Results are disgusting.

No. He is 25 yrs old!!! LMAO! He missed 2 months after already earning the money he was given to that point. He's getting 16.5 mil this year. He looked pretty good for a decent stretch. The whole team did. He comes back to a dumpster fire after 2 months and struggled and suddenly it's all over. He's never going to play well again in the next 3 plus years? He's done?

Noah couldn't stay healthy or play worth a damn. Had 2 surgeries already? Took drugs and got suspended and is making 18mil for 2 more years. Possibly bought out or stretched. Impossible to trade without hurting the team. Is broken and will never earn the money.

This is silly.

16.5
17.325
18.15
18.975

Essentially 18 mil per year

Thanks....I guess. He made 16.5 mil. That's what I'm holding him to THIS YEAR. Not 21 mil if we have to trade him. Or anything else involved with how ridiculous it is to suggest his deal is worse than Noah.

not like he played well over the span of months. It was only a few weeks and I FOR ONE remember being here and willingly eating Crow so, your wrong about guy not giving him is props when he was balling out. The problem is that it was a pretty small sample size. He started out the season PURE ASS...pulled it together, got injured and has been pure ass since.

WTF are you talking about. Do you even know what me and Mecca is talking about? this is a joke between me and him

40.2% FG% currently ranks him 109th out of 118 players (only players with FGA per game > 10 ranked)
30.4% 3P% currently ranks him 57th out of 59 players (only players with 3PA per game > 5 ranked)

Again I am fine with Hardaway as the tank commander. He is the ideal guy to lead us to the promised Land this year and next. But let's not act like Hardaway is a proper NBA player. On the other hand, he would be a star in Chinese league.

Hardaway would be good as the third option on offense. He's being asked to do too much. Of all the players on the Knicks to worry about, this guy is down the list.

Third option? Here are some third options who won the ring or made to the finals recently:

Klay Thompson, Kevin Love, Chris Bosh, Kawhi Leonard.

In what universe is Hardaway in the same league with these guys?

Tim Hardaway is a third option of a lottery team. And I am being generous.

So basically it cost us THJ and Noah's albatross contracts plus KPs unfortunate (but in another sense fortunate?) injury to get us to supertank level. Where we have a change to get two great (we hope)? players in the 18/19 drafts and then add back KP healed. Then if one of Mudiay/Frank (both 8ish draft picks in KPs draft) comes through, perhaps we attract a top Free Agent to complete the picture? So in retrospect, was the Front Office devilishly brilliant? Or is this just dumb luck?

Not sure how KP getting injured would have someone ask “was the FO devilishly brilliant”

I’d take the result happening in a heartbeat though since we are where we are

Yea that’s more like it.

It’s offensive to see his name in the same sentence as Starks (think this is the 2nd time I’ve seen it here). He wasn’t just a streaky shooter/good defender. Guy was the heart of the team and a tough/scrappy sob who would step to anybody (Jordan/Reggie, etc). Dude was ready for war every night. Tim Hardaway Jr tho? Cmon.

THJr - 18 million in cap space, all for a handful of wins that screws the Knicks out of the #1 pick.

Basically, teams like Chicago and Dallas were smart enough to embrace the tank. From the moment THJr was signed, you knew the Knicks weren't and now are paying the price. They can't close the 5 game game to worst 1-3 record, which they could have done with Holiday.

Knicks management. Forever lacking foresight.

We all must have aged in dog years this season, because Timmy playing well feels like a distant memory.

Less of this season is on Hardaway and more on Hornaceck. I haven't understood one rotation this year and I the players don't either (save Jack/Lance). Jeff coaches for failure barring perfection. Perfect example was yesterday when Jeff allowed McConnell to get that triple double. Jeff knew it was coming. The crowd was cheering for it. I knew it was coming. The Sixers telegraphed it clearing out for McConnel on offense and leaving the entire right side for McConnel to get a rebound... And we watched Hornaceck facilitated it. A real coach would have put the team in position to NEVER allow that to happen. But similar to this entire season, Jeff coach for the most ridiculous of misfortunes to become disastrous reality.
Those last 70 seconds, Randle in a nut shell.

Awful 2 for 1 3PT attempt when we are up 2
Doesn’t close out on Sabonis --> open 3
Takes another side step off balance 3

We got sucked into the Randle vortex where all good feelings go to die.
