Is it because some teams decide to focus on Steph leaving KD to get his? I know this was true of the OKC game when they were constantly double teaming Steph everytime he crossed the half court line, but not sure about the other two recent games.

I think it is just that Steph hasn't played very well in our recent slide. He has been doubled and tripled teamed for years, so that shouldn't bother him too much. He just doesnt look very agressive. Look at Lillard tonight, he just put his head down and took it to the Warriors. That how Steph looks when he is looking to bury teams, I haven't seen that Steph in a while.

We last saw that Steph in the Boston game a couple of Saturdays nights ago and for most of January when he came back from his injury and won player of the month. Other than that, you’re right — he’s been inconsistent at best in February.

Smart coaches know that the Warriors are nearly impossible to beat when Curry gets going...because not only does he score but he sets everyone else up for wide open shots when he’s got it going. KD is primarily a scorer...an elite one at that but he doesn’t open up the floor for everyone else and get the rest of the team in a groove like Steph does. IMO Steph has to take control of the team as if KD weren’t there. I think he’s deferring too much to the style of ball that KD is successful at. Bottom line, if Steph plays his game and the Warriors play their style, KD will fit in. The reason the Rockets have been able to smoothly integrate 2 ball dominant stars is because CP3 knows it’s Harden’s team. In OKC, PG13 and Melo know it’s Westbrook’s team. The Warriors are trying to walk this fake line where it’s “everyone’s” team. And right now we’re seeing a “take turns” offense instead of the offense that made the Warriors great. Just my opinion.

Teams have figured out the Warriors, control Steph and not let him get off and you have a better chance to win. Teams know Steph is not the type of player to be selfish and force the issue all the time. Personally, I would like to see Steph attack or split the double ala Lillard, Harden, and countless others do. Steph needs to force the issue with his penetration more, something he hasn't done since he slipped in morning shoot around where he supposedly re-tweaked his ankle (I think it was the knee).

The Golden State Warriors: the only team in the league where keeping turnovers to 16 is considered a good night of taking care of the ball.
