Yeah. When he's bad he's bad, and at this point it's become pretty consistent that he has extended bad periods. Plus you don't know which Betances you'll have by playoff time. I would sell high on him and not look back.

I'm puzzled as well... I thought we needed another pitcher.

Guess Neil will be taking the role of Matt Holliday this year?

Nevermind I forgot they signed Lind...

So are we not gonna see Torres this year? We have Drury AND Neil now.

Curious move picking up Walker. I interpret that to mean they want to give the pups some more time in the minors. Also I believe Walker can play third and first as well. Drury and Walker seems like overkill though.

Opening day lineup:

Gardner
Judge
Stanton
Sanchez
Bird
Didi
Hicks
Walker
Drury

Torreyes
Lind or Austin
Romine
Ellsbury

Looks like Andujar and Torres to minors.

I like the move to be honest. Hope Cash can get a cheap starter for more depth.

I already got some shade from Mets fans saying Walker has a back problem and is done. He's a really good player when healthy. I like the move for depth. I want Torres starting at 2nd by end of season though.

I assume the Yankees did their due diligence before offering a contract.

I guess we didn't have enough power in the infield. So we get Drury and Walker.

Great move. If Andujar and Torres are killing it in AAA those guys aren't going to be blocking them. Our insane depth is what separates us from anyone else. Injuries happen all the time. Remember how many games Toe started last year? 1/5 is a no brainer, way to cheap to pass up.

Its a 1 year deal worth 5 mill whats not to like about this move, he addresses a need a switch hitter who can play multiple positions including 1B, and he doesn't strike out a lot.
