Bish said it best,

you are too dense for proper discussions. I cant believe I even wasted my time with this, oh man.

This is basic 101 knowledge, Zina. Zina/Rape, google 101 - Wiki.

Few hadiths have been found regarding rape in the time of Muhammad. The most popular transmitted hadith given below indicates the order of stoning for the rapist and no punishment for the raped.

Do me a favor and stick to your agenda. I don't even know Islam on a grander scale, but know enough to point out the sheer garbage you spill. If you ever get into a discussion who knows Islam in the most elite form, goodluck man

I went to the park Sunday and saw a woman walking by herself in a full body suit burka. Then, I look about 50 feet ahead to see that her husband was walking in shorts and a t-shirt with their kid. Is this what the Left fighting for? Freedom of suppression or oppression?

Burqa/Hijab is ones personal choice, not compulsory. It isn't deemed a big sin if one chooses not to wear it. Although it is preferred in the Islamic world, they do it to be modest and be close to their teachings. Just because they choose to wear it doesnt mean they are oppressed dude. I know plenty who werent wearing one, later in life decided to wear one on their own accord.

Nothing to do with left/right shenanigans.

I didn't have a problem with the burka as much as how suppressed she was to be made to walk 50 feet behind her husband. That is oppression, not her desire to be forced to be wearing a full body suit with only a slit for the eyes in 80° heat. That display of extremist views that women are below men. The left can be so fickle in their interpretations of women empowerment. They scream that women are oppressed all while promoting a sect whose ideology is a stark contrast to what they promote! And, they only do that because they are compelled to do the opposite of anything a person on the right is for. I bet if the right started being pro-islam, the left would just as quickly change to the opposite spectrum abhorring islam.

Are you saying by ignoring abuse and looking the other way, we are all better off? Maybe, those women chose to be treated that way?

No, just the extremists of Islam. Those men of that religion who believe that women are beneath men, must walk 50 behind their masters while wearing full body armor because they are not considered equal to men. Just those types. I see no reason a woman should live their life under those conditions.

I know many muslims who are moderate. I work with an eqyptian and we have great discussions. Also, I may be visiting Egypt in December as ancient history is a past time of mine.

"Those men" "Extremist" are the ones that give Islam a bad rep/image. But in all fairness, every religion has those types of individuals, sure you may see more in Muslims due to It's population.

The Quran, the holiest book in Islam, indicates that men and women are spiritual equals. The Quran 4:124 states:

"If any do deeds of righteousness be they male or female and have faith, they will enter Heaven, and not the least injustice will be done to them."

and have fun on your trip Man, Egypt seems like an awesome place for ancient history :)

Islam states (look anywhere that is credible)
[al-Nisa’ 4:58]
Those who say that Islam is the religion of equality are lying against Islam. Rather Islam is the religion of justice which means treating equally those who are equal and differentiating between those who are different.

Thanks! It is still those secular countries like Saudi Arabia amongst others in the middle east that still has major problems. There was a cell video of a guy whipping his woman in the international airport over there a few months back. That is allowed over there. But, Saudi's finally allowed women to drive cars, so they may very slowly change. If you look at the refugee camps in Europe, a large portion of the muslims still believe in inequality. Islam overall has a long ways to go to get out of that thousand year old mentality.

There is no denying that there is alot of corruption in some Muslim countries such as Saudi/Pakistan, which is sad to see and to hear about. Also It doesnt have anything to do with mentality, Its a ploy that people use to justify there ill-will acts upon people and get away with it by the name of god.

Note: This is what ISIS is exactly doing.

The irony in all this is that Syria 10 years ago was a very moderate nation where freedom of religion was not suppressed as in their neighboring countries. But, since they were friends with Russia . . . What it comes down to is that every religion, country and political affiliation has its good and bad. People should learn to think for themselves and not fall for mass media manipulation. I believe alot in what the left has to say, but due to the hardcore left wing propaganda being thrown out there, I am mainly against them for the time being. It is not one way or the highway, we are a democracy where everyone has a choice that shouldn't always be made for us.
