Really wish Young had gone to Kentucky instead of playing with that dumpster fire of a roster at Oklahoma.

I haven't seen him play, just reading. How is he different then Jimmer?

Much much better in the pg role, his handle and passing vision is ridiculously beyond Jimmer. Not quite the shooter Jimmer is.
I bought a boat.

Yeah, he should have passed to his wonderful teammates.
You thought those were good shots?
They were doubling him out to 30 feet and his teammates were doing nothing.

And both shots were in and out. I get having Bags, Doncic, and Ayton ahead of Trae, those guys have put up numbers and have size, but some people are acting as if Trae is a 23 year old 5’10 senior who averaged 21pts and 3 assists a game for Weber St. if you have JJJ, Bamba, and Porter ahead of him, that’s pure speculation, because those guys have done very little and all of them are in the same class. People act as if Trae is a finished product comparing him to prime NBA Curry and Lillard just to take a jab at him. Ridiculous. Again, I remember when Curry came out and I heard the same arguments; now Curry is one of the greates and people continue to act like they saw it coming...Lmao!
Most can’t see anything coming until it’s too late, then they will deny it exists. I wouldn’t care if the Suns took him number one. I know what the dude has done and can do.

I have all of the above listed above Trae. And again, comparing him to Curry lol
Praying for Burrow

You can have whatever list you want to have that’s a LOL! You ain’t drafting anyone. I’m not trying to convince you, I’m just stating the ridiculousness of yours and anyone else asseration that Trae shouldn’t be In the top 4, but this is the social media and ridiculousness rules the satellite waves.
And please work on your reading. I never compared him to Curry ever. Trae game is good enough to speak for its self. He doesn’t have to be the greatest shooter to have ever played the game to be worthy of the fourth pick; you threw that out there to try to invalidate my stance on having him rated 4. I compared his assessment by the naysayers to how they perceived Curry in 2009; too small, too slow, not a good enough handle, a 2 guard trapped in a pg body, chucker, selfish, no defense. And I’m sure you were one of the ones talking trash about him too. Lol.

That's the most ridiculous statement I've ever heard. Hes not an nba player. He can't recruit players to his team. He was a one and done freshman. Coaches recruit college players.

This part particularly stands out as outright comedy (the bolded):
We're talking about a guy who's coming into a league where at least one team (a very successful one) had a "3s or layups (/fouls)" offensive system last year. But now that's a limitation? Really ...
The worry is that in the NBA you can play him straight up, stay home on the shooters, and make him try to beat you on contested layups (and he’s not going to be helping his own cause, so to speak, on defense). James Harden gets crap for getting to the line a lot but the vast majority of the time he’s put opponents in a position where they’re either getting scored on or fouling. Young has a different ratio of skill at drawing fouls to skill at actually finishing layups.
To be clear, for me this is more a worry against better defensive teams/in the playoffs than something that’s going to hold him back from making it in the NBA altogether. So without knowing the context the concerns themselves are legitimate.
That’s a solid point. Can he beat people off of the dribble or create a reasonable amount of space to get a clean look versus challenged shots. That’s where his workouts will come into play.
That's my main concern with Young. I don't think he will be an elite shot creator like Curry. I think he can knock down open 3s, but I think he will have trouble getting open 3s on his own accord. My second concern with Young is that I'm skeptical on him being able to handle Fultz-esque attention, because even though he may not going #1 or even in the top 10, because of the Curry comparison and the hype built around him, he's going to have to deal with that on a day to day basis. His game looks like it took a dive off the deep end and I have a feeling that is why.

Re: Trae Young
People are really underestimating his game. The real and only question is what will he be on defense. Withouth a doubt he is a scoring and passing maschine in the NBA. Has the shooting has the handles and will only be better with time. Is hethe most skilled player in this draft class? I would say yes. The question is will he be unplayable in the playoffs. He is absolutley a starting PG in this league. People are again overthinking it. Is he a Irving or a Thomas on defense. That is the unknown for me.

He is not more skilled that Doncic IMO

I would say otherwise but u make my point. People hope that some other players will at their peak show a resemblance of skills that those two players have because they are more athletic. I would much rather take my shot in hoping that Young and Doncic deficiencies get nullified by NBA routine than hope that Bagley or Ayton can learn team defense or some thing like that. It is weird that in this time people still do that. Mabye some one can get things right but it is unlikely. And yet someone will select probably Bamba or Bagley before Young. Maybe even Doncic. This draft is really about GM's and their teams and the abillity to influence owners. I got a feeling that there will be much reevaluation after a few years of this draft. It's a philosophical draft in a way.

I’ve said it a thousand times. People refuse to believe their “lying” eyes. Bagley Trae Doncic and Ayton all ball. They all have issues, but they can ball. Bamba JJJ and Porter have done nothing yet outside off inflated metrics and numbers bs.
Of the four Trae is the biggest boom player and bust. He scares me, but not enough to take anyone not named Bags, Ayton or Doncic over him.

I agree with everything, with the exception of him being the most skilled. Doncic is definitely more skilled than him.
