Memphis got slaughtered tonight... hopefully Gasol & Conley ask to be traded and they just blow it up.... that Memphis pick starting to look juicy.

What are the protections on that pick? Top 8 or 10 the next two years, unprotected in 2020 or something?

Just a quick random - I was in Best Buy today and ran into Greg Oden. He was checking out some video games and struck up a brief convo with him, but nothing basketball related whatsoever. Just by the looks of him I can't imagine he'll ever make a comeback (referencing some comeback story awhile back), he looks somewhat out of shape and has a noticeable limp. Walks like an old man, slow moving, and favoring one side.

Just awful. He's pretty chill tho, like a big kid.

Grizzlies at Home
Magic away
Minny at home
Nuggets at home
Knicks at home
Hawks away
Bobcats away
Nets at home
Pistons away
Cavs at home
Mavs at home
Hawks away
Bucks at home.

Philly just jumped to the 4th seed tonight. Man that schedule is CAKE.

So I went from the Pacers (even I am ashamed of this) to the Wizards (semi ashamed) to now hoping on Philly as a last gasp.

Of course depending on the Raptors to beat the Cavs to end the year, is pointless.

Dan L thinks Kawhi will be traded for pennies on the dollar:

If that's the case, even with the extenuating circumstances of Leonard being mentally fragile at the moment, don't you have to make an offer if you are the Celtics? It's not as if Kawhi hasn't exhibited great skill and mental toughness in the past.

You really think that landing one of the best players in the league for a draft pick was risky?? We still have the Sacramento and Memphis picks.

How does having the Sacramento and Memphis picks, which may not end up being that good, impact the value of the 2018 Brooklyn pick? It doesn't at all.

I'm willing to bet that the sacto pick next year ends up being a better than the nets pick this year.

And we aquired a legitimate superstar in the trade. It was not risky at all. We are flush with picks and gave one of them up for a franchise cornerstone.

I think they will have a go at it next season. 1 more kick at the can, meaning a tear down will happen in 2020.

Either way I think that pick becomes very valuable to Memphis in particular.

I have wondered if a player and their pick + another pick would entice them to move the pick this year. (if Lakers pick doesnt convey)

Yeah, you have to make an offer.

On this team he can be mentally fragile because we already have an Alpha Male in Kyrie, and have incredible support in Hayward.

Kahwi can just Kawhi, like he did when Duncan was still the team leader.

Some guys can fill that roll, some guys cannot, look at Durant.

Pellies up to the 4 seed after Cousins goes down. Does anybody still want to argue whether or not he is a +EV player?

He absolutely is. They were on a roll before he got injured, finally figured things out. They beat the Rockets in a playoff game environment and on a 6 game winning streak I think.

If he didn't get hurt, they had 3 legitimate star players + great support from Rondo, Moore, Miller, Mirotić, Okafor, Clark. No doubt in my mind they would've been a lock for 3rd seed and contenders for conference finals.

Stop it. No one wanted to see the Pels in the playoffs with those 2 healthy.

This team is a fun, exciting, easy to root for team. But they're not better. Especially in the playoffs. When you can get 75 mpg from 2 of the best 3/4 bigs in the game. Killers on the boards. Easy buckets. They both can ht 3's, pound the paint, control the glass & foul teams out individually.

Just no way. If they're a team that can counter GSW or HOU, it's a team like NO. Hit their weak spots.

Also AD says he went into Westbrook mode after he got hurt. That doesn't reflect as Boogie's fault. If anything Pels ppl were saying how AD doesn't go hard enough every night.

This Pels team is a fun first round out. The healthy Pels team coulda been a real player out west. With a healthy Minny & SAS I'd still take NOLA over them. Draymond struggles against 2 ppl. & They both play for NO.

He's not signing for the minimum if he keeps doing what he's doing. He's having a really good year overall.
