We honestly don’t care about you guys that much. We don’t have a 40 plus page thread two days Before the game begins. We have so many injuries that we would be very lucky if we win this game.

The only insecure bunch is all of the raptors fans trying to convince themselves that they are championship contenders.

Lol what? I think you're confused, look at my post history. Psssst, it wasn't about Celtic fans.

Lol my bad. I would say I had a senior moment but I am not that old. Sorry

No problem, happens to the best of us. Also, the fact that the Celtics could get within 2 games of first with a win is crazy considering all the injuries.

Rationally it's tough to expect a win, but this team defies rational thought lately so who knows.

Agreed, but I don’t see us Toronto taking us lightly. Even with our recent string of wins , I don’t see how we overcome their depth on Saturday.

If we do, they will be the only board that has a chance to be in shambles.

They are grabbing their skis, they are trading in thousands of Canadian dollars for a few dozen US dollars, they are heading to Boston.

They get to the border.

Image

Anything to declare?

"We the Nerf!" they answer.

Image

Some of them get to Boston.

Image

They all react the same way.

Image

Image

They are Canadian, so some of them don't get to Massachusetts.

Image

Image

Those that did get to Boston, they are amazed, they are in awe, the first time they have seen something they thought was not real, they see success.

Image

Image

They are Canadian, with many convictions for war crimes, and attacks on baby seals, and for rudeness to Michael Bradley.

Image

Those able to finance their stay in the USA for several days and stay out of jail and are able to view the game later return to Canada with stories of seeing greatness.

Image

Image

They then go back to watching the famous Toronto sports team.

Image

Image

Drunken violence, what Toronto sports is all about.

Image

Memories of Boston, a bright spot in their lives.

I hope to win but expect to lose. Been that way since Irving/Smart exited. I won't be shocked with either outcome for us anymore based on the recent wins.

But if we lose I don't consider this major bragging rights by Raptors fans. We are a hospital team right now. We might not even win the first round of the playoffs for all we know. But the funny thing is, the Raptors have been playing pretty badly for a little while now. Started with their game vs. OKC that they blame the refs on and then Lebron hammered them and since then they barely been scraping by.

Realistically, we shouldn't have won against the Jazz or Thunder, and realistically, we shouldn't win against a healthy Raptors squad. But, we won those 2 and anything is possible. Personally it looks like one of those games you turn off at halftime, but I'll be watching regardless. Watching the young kids play (not nader/Semi) is so fun considering we are doing it as the 2nd seed.

Normally I would say this is a blow out, but the Raps have been looking shaky lately. I have not been impressed with them in a while. Very winnable game.

Get this W and doubt creeps into the fragile minds of Derozan and Lowry about both holding on to the top seed, and seeing us with Kyrie and Smart in the Playoffs.

No. Because both sides have a small, but vocal group of posters who insist on taking shots at each other. It's all pretty stupid and easily the least enjoyable thing about being a part of this community.

To be fair isn't this thread a good example of how the relationship with them used (pre-Isaiah) to be?

Maybe I missed something but throwback and I **** around with each other a lot (inside jokes and I think he's a good poster), and CHL is just doing his CHL thing. I haven't seen much of that Isaiah era hatred in this thread.

Raptors broadcaster Leo Rautins has an expression where he goes "Ho Man!" when there's an exciting move by a Raptor player (DeRozan poster dunk, Ibaka block, etc...).

Is Leo Rautins the guy with the robotic voice who is so bad at his job he makes me question the veil of reality and my own existence in the universe?

I wonder if Tommy makes people feel that way. I feel like Tommy just makes other fans angry, lol.

I think the fact that both sides know messing around on the other side's board is getting you a temp ban at least, and a permanent one at worst. That has stopped a lot of it, but both groups still insist on taking stupid and unnecessary shots at the other side on a fairly regular basis. It just gets amped up when the teams play.

Yeah. I honestly want it to go away at this point. I never lurked here prior to joining, but since joining realgm and up until Isaiah came here, I had nothing but love for those guys even if I thought their forum was lacking in basketball knowledge. Both fanbases regularly vistited the others' forum. Vinbaker6 was a regular in game threads. Things were fine between us. That was 4+ years and I imagine things were fine before that as well.

Is it unreasonable to think we could get back there? Perhaps.
