Re: Moritz Wagner
Look, Wagner is pretty fluid for his size (and you guys keep mentioning players that have pretty stiff upper bodies) and he’s not just a spot up shooter like those guys. He can pull-up from three and shoot of of screens, which is pretty impressive. He’s also really controlled around the basket, something none of these other guys are. I really think he can be a good offensive player. Maybe not all-star type, but he can be up there.

Yeah, I think he can do most of what Frank Kaminsky does. He doesn't look like a great defender. He might go late first or early second round.

He’s a better post player than Kaminsky and he can run better. Kaminsky is probably a better shooter, but Wagner has more diverse ability shooting since he’s more fluid.

Am the only one who doesn't have major defensive concerns? Not saying he'll be a bigtime defender or anything, but he was the primary big on the #3 defense in the NCAA, that seems pretty promising to me. Awareness seems alright, though doesn't have elite tools.
I bought a boat.

Oh he's going to struggle defensively in space and at the rim. Will probably be a passable m2m defender.

The NBA nowadays is all about match ups. If he becomes an elite scoring center he could be a starter all the time, but more realistic is that he rotates as a starter/backup in his prime. He’s a matchup problem for some 4 and 5s because he’s tall, quick, can stretch the floor and go inside. But it’s really dependent on who he’s playing. If a team wants to go bigger and you want to focus more on offense he’s solid, but you sacrifice defense a little. Maybe the best comparison I can think of is a more outside shooting version Kelly Olynyk. Except he’s a little better at running the floor because of his fluidity.

He’s a more versatile shooter/better offensive creator than Leonard and more fluid. Doesn’t really make sense other than being big white guys that can shoot.
Disagree , he looks fluid against College players, stiff in the NBA

Lol what? He’s generally fluid against any players. You can disagree, but you’ll see that you’re wrong.

What NBA players has he looked fluid against ?
I'll see that he's 6'11 but won't be a lotto pick

Re: Moritz Wagner
He is an interesting prospect. Not a rim protector but doesn't seem to be horrible defensively. Offensive game could definitely find him a role in the NBA. I can imagine worse things for the Celtics than picking him at 27....
assuming Theis fully recovers and Cs sign one of Monroe or Baynes, they have little PT to offer the guy. maybe a nice stash candidate.
I think he gets drafted for sure but likely a second rounder.
