Develop the young core...
Kemba - Grant
Monk - Bacon
MKG - Batum
Kaminsky - Marvin
Cody - Dwight - Hernangomez
Lamb is one of the three players i definitely want to keep (others are Kemba and Monk). Hes easily our best wing, hes still young and improving, and his contract is amazing.
A one-year contract. And no cap to extend him without hitting the luxury tax unless you want to let Frank walk. Frank hit 38% of his threes this year. We lose Frank or Lamb for nothing unless we pay the luxury tax with Kemba or let Kemba walk.
I would rather have Lamb opposed to Frank if I had to choose. Same shooter from deep, but Lamb is better from 2, and is a better rebounder. Why is it that our shooting guard rebounds better, and shoots better inside the arc than our 7 footer? Because that 7 footer is soft, clumsy, scared of contact, and does not take the ball up strong no matter how small the other player is. I love the shooting this year, but overall Frank has a lot of work to do to be a good NBA player. Lamb is explosive on the offensive end. Neither are good defenders, but Lamb having more athletic ability gives him a better chance at continuing the improvements made so far.
