Portis, Sabonis, and Anunoby were all guys on the radar here before their respective drafts, and every single one of them would be making a positive impact in the rotation right now. Mid/late first are still valuable, and they're one of the only tools we have left to fix this thing. We just don't have much time to get our **** together.

Bucks had a pretty decent mid first rounder a few years ago named Giannis or something...

Kawhi Leonard also 15th not so long ago.

Just choose an unusual name and go with it. It beats whatever strategy the Bucks used last draft.

Meh. Give it up. I think the Giannis injury isn't out of the realm of possibility and if have to give up a top 10 pick would be a huge blow.

Can we keep the pick and give them their choice of Wilson, Maker or both?

Maybe I don't understand the process well enough, but say we beat Boston, wouldn't our pick be later in the round thus we keep it?

No, the pick is based on regular season records.

If Horst is making the pick...nah...let's look at recent history - DJ, Thon, Rashad :banghead: :noway:

I'd prefer our next GM to make the pick next year

Just ran through some mock drafts to see the guys in our ballpark. Most of the intriguing ones to me tail off just before us so I think I'm still leaning towards moving it this year

Sounds like, "with the 17th pick in the 2018 NBA draft, the Milwaukee Bucks select Shai Gilgeous-Alexander"

At last count, there are approximately an infinite number of things that aren't out of the realm of possibility. The chance of Giannis missing more than 15 games is probably <2%.

This is just absurd.

On measure, if Giannis played 50 parallel seasons at age 25, he'd suffer less than 1 injury requiring at least a 15 game break?

Horst didn’t pick thon or rashad, and there’s a little bit of reason to believe DJ wasn’t all him.

I'd rather just give up the pick this year while Bledsoe is still here. If we trade him or another expiring during the season next year, we'll still have some ammo going into the 2019 draft if the roster needs to be reloaded and it's about as "low" a value the pick is going to get when we have to give it up.

Not having a quality pick this draft would make it too many straight years of no quality 1st round pick - you really put yourself in a hole doing that. they need to get that pick and use it wisely. Win the flip.

I'll give the Bucks 50% chance they will lose their pick.

Anytime I see "random drawing" I hope they hand the reps from the teams a sketch pad and make them draw something random.

It never happens though.

If they win the flip/drawing, then they lose the pick.
