Yes! I've come to hate that term. Such a crowd pleaser but it's meaningless. Best player how? Now? Yesterday? Three years from now projected? And best at what? How are you making that decision?

Best player just means most talented prospect.

Most talented now? Yesterday? Three years from now projected? Okafor was more talented than Porzingis at draft time. Collin Sexton is probably the most physically talented player we could get right now. Are these your guys if you go BPA?

As far as I'm concerned, it's a platitude and not a strategic approach. Highest overall ceiling means something. Best current value means something.

I disagree with Okafor being considered more talented. He was more skilled offensively, but KP was by far more talented. It’s extremely vague, but bpa is always going to be opinion based, but it means the player with the highest ceiling. Not just “today”, the player that’s going to be the most effective in their prime. To me off eye test that’s Miles, Sexton, and Mikal in our current draft position.

I'm on the Trae Young bandwagon now. We need to swing for home runs. Any chance he falls to us

Slim. The only one I can see truly biting is Dallas. I think the other teams would rather they picks.

Nope. Would rather just keep KP since he's a young all-star and the odds of hitting a future all-star are much much less than 100%

Idk man no matter how much i try to fight it i just get this weird vibe about him truly wanting to be here. He still seems distant to me and others feel the same also....

Im at least making that call. If we could get a top 3-4 pick for him and keep our lotto pick im doing it.

Pairing one of doncic or ayton or Bagley with either mpjr or bamba or mikal is greater than kp imo.

No player is untradable to me so I’d at least make some calls. Looking back on it Phil wasn’t wrong to look but the price should be suitably high. However the market for stars seems pretty depressed given what PG and Butler got in return. I think teams realize there is no point trading away your future for players when you don’t have a foundation to support them.

It would take more than one first rounder. Also, nobody wants to be here. Whoever we draft won't want to be here either

Also your analysis is ignoring that we'd be pairing (mpjr, bamba, mikal) with kp. Assuming they're even there at 9 or 10.

Sexton could be the Mitchell of this draft

yeah i could see it. i think Donte DiVincenzo is closer to a mitchell type prospect but not as explosive

Donte reminds me of Tyler Johnson
